The salsa class was so good! It was nice to relax at the pool when it was too hot to do anything else. The rooms were nice and clean. The staff was helpful and ready to help with anything. They turned the AC up/down on request. They also gave me an additional blanket free of charge.

Offering a terrace and views of the garden, Masaya Casas Viejas is set 30 minutes away from Minca in the Magdalena Region by 4x4 or motorcycle, and 12 mi from Santa Marta. Lovely view, close to coffee finca La Victoria, good food, young crowd.

Great family friendly hotel, with a huge pool área and directions access to the beach. The restaurant has a great menu with loads of different options. All staff was very kind and helpful at all times

Wonderful rooftop, great clean rooms and really excellent facilities. They do Spanish lessons too for all levels and the teacher Paula is amazing. The Spanish lessons really helped me to master basic Spanish in shops, restaurants and transportation. Highly recommended!

El Santuario was the perfect home base for exploring Minca! Nora and José Luis have obviously put a lot of love into their hotel- they were exceptionally kind and provided us with everything we needed during our stay. We split three rooms between 5 friends, which was totally comfortable for us. We started every morning taking in the stunning views while enjoying a delicious home cooked breakfast- the birdwatching is unparalleled to any place I’ve visited before! It’s a quick 10 minute drive to the center of Minca- we had a car, but the hotel will happily arrange a mototaxi for you, which I took advantage of as i chose to stay an extra night after my travel mates departed. We ended our evenings using the ample common areas to sip tequila and reflect on our adventures. The evenings were cool enough that we wouldn’t have used a/c even if it was available. Of course there are some bugs, but what else would you expect staying in a rustic town in the middle of the jungle?? Other reviewers noting this as a con are obviously unused to accommodations that strive to be as ecologically mindful as possible to their natural environments. This place is a real gem, located about 20 minutes by car from Minca. We are a family of four and absolutely loved our stay. Everything was excellent—especially the warm welcome we received from the staff, who made us feel right at home. The property grounds are beautiful, filled with lush nature and vibrant flowers, creating a truly relaxing atmosphere. The pool was excellent and perfect for cooling off, and we thoroughly enjoyed the breakfasts, which included fresh fruits and delicious typical Colombian dishes. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and we would definitely go back.

Rooms are huge, bathrooms are also spacious. Very clean. Really nice staff. Location is perfect, in the centre but very quiet. Highly recommend.
