A recently renovated apartment, Centro Macas offers accommodation in Macas. As the name suggests, The accomodation is located in a very convenient central part of the city. Many fairly priced restaurants around, and if you want to splurge, there are some upper-market cafes a short walking distance also. And as a cherry on the cake, there are some great views of a nearby, frequently erupting volcano Rosa, the host, goes above and beyond making sure you feel welcome, comfortable, and are armed with enough knowledge to get the most out of her city. I originally stayed here as a stop over town to break up my travels. But ended up staying a little longer because I enjoyed it so much.

The place has a wonderful staff, excellent food, and beautiful spaces. The "Luciernaga" suite is an amazing spot with stunning views and a peaceful silence that allows for complete relaxation. The location, when you rent a bike (7 $) you can reach all the sites in the vicinity. I definitely recommend Cascada Vida Natural. The hostel had a very rustic feel, but there was hot water. Breakfast was great! Really liked the hammocks. The staff was always nice and there are two very cute cats living on the property. I can definitely recommend going there! I can also recommend doing a hike in the jungle with Henry, it was really adventurous.

I long for the sound of the river and the birds! The staff is exceptional. They were helpful, kind and knowledgeable. They helped us experience the birds in ways I would have not imagined.

Set in Papallacta, Cabañas Papallacta en Finca Chucuri offers accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to an open-air bath. Julio as really sweet with check in and check out. The views are great and open fire was amazing. + Gas stove for cooking. Beds are also really comfortable. If you are looking for a traditional, rustic Ecuadorian experience then this is for you.
