Really lovely place. The room was spacious and very comfortable. Quiet location. We had dinner and breakfast and both were lovely.

This converted and refurbished watermill offers chic, elegant and stylish accommodation in an idyllic 12-acre countryside setting near Newmarket and Cambridge. Excellent stay in one of the nook rooms overlooking the meadow. Very relaxing a peaceful and lots of little extras to make this a luxury stay. The room was very comfortable with the added bonus of a wood fired hot tub - not loads of storage space but we were only staying overnight sadly. We also had a meal in the main restaurant which was excellent, as was breakfast (served fresh, not buffet). We wouldn't hesitate to book again when we're in the area.

Located within 12 km of Framlingham Castle and 24 km of Saint Botolph's Burgh in Saxmundham, Chez Ana features accommodation with seating area. Loved the warmth of the host, and the room itself was just what we needed for a quick night away. Ana found me some peanut butter when she heard me saying that I liked it, which was such a nice touch. The room was spotless and the sheets were comfy and clean.

Located within 12 km of The Apex and 19 km of Ickworth House in Bury Saint Edmunds, The Pear Tree Inn offers accommodation with seating area. Everything exceeded our expectations. These guys clearly sweat the details. To start, we arrived very late in the evening, and they kept the kitchen open to cook us dinner. The pub is an absolute gem. A genuine country pub with locals playing darts, but decorated to a standard that Londoners would love. Food was amazing. Room was amazing. Attention to detail around every corner. Dyson hair dryer in the room. Artisinal locally made chocolates waiting for us. Mini bar full of artisinal locally crafted liquors. Wireless charging mats for our phones next to the bed. Artisinal locally made cheese with the continental breakfast (some of the best cheese I've ever tasted). Friendly staff who were happy to tell us the history of the pub. Absolute hidden gem that would probably cost 400 quid a night in London. Highly recommended!

Boasting inner courtyard views, The Little Barn features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 45 km from The Apex. It is situated 8 km from Eye Castle and offers luggage storage space. It begun by a warm greeting. Turns out I had booked the wrong date somehow. But it didn’t matter. We were invited into their home, got to meet the dog’s, were made a pot of tea and they fit us in and got the little barn ready for us. Truly above and beyond. The little barn itself is amazing! Perfect mixture of modern and cozy. We didn’t even leave. I would 100% return, perhaps when the weather is a bit better so we can explore a little.

The welcome and hospitality was excellent. Comfortable bed and good quality bedding. Food is excellent, deserts are to die for and breakfast excellent with just the best quality local produce. Location is beautiful and the drinks selection is excellent - outstanding wine including hughe selection by the glass - and non alcoholic gin. We would return to eat.
