This converted and refurbished watermill offers chic, elegant and stylish accommodation in an idyllic 12-acre countryside setting near Newmarket and Cambridge. Excellent stay in one of the nook rooms overlooking the meadow. Very relaxing a peaceful and lots of little extras to make this a luxury stay. The room was very comfortable with the added bonus of a wood fired hot tub - not loads of storage space but we were only staying overnight sadly. We also had a meal in the main restaurant which was excellent, as was breakfast (served fresh, not buffet). We wouldn't hesitate to book again when we're in the area.

Ana found me some peanut butter when she heard me saying that I liked it, which was such a nice touch. The room was spotless and the sheets were comfy and clean.

Turns out I had booked the wrong date somehow. But it didn’t matter. We were invited into their home, got to meet the dog’s, were made a pot of tea and they fit us in and got the little barn ready for us. Truly above and beyond. The little barn itself is amazing! Perfect mixture of modern and cozy. We didn’t even leave. I would 100% return, perhaps when the weather is a bit better so we can explore a little.

The Peacock Inn ligger i Chelsworth, med Hedingham Castle bare 26 kilometer unna. The welcome and hospitality was excellent. Comfortable bed and good quality bedding. Food is excellent, deserts are to die for and breakfast excellent with just the best quality local produce. Location is beautiful and the drinks selection is excellent - outstanding wine including hughe selection by the glass - and non alcoholic gin. We would return to eat.
