The bunk beds are fixed to the wall, so they don’t shake when someone climbs up or down. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the facilities are excellent. I even loved the shampoo they provide—and they offer conditioner too! This is the first hostel I’ve ever stayed at that provides conditioner.

We stayed at The Modernist Athens for our last night in the city, and it was such a beautiful experience. The hotel has a very modern style design, and everything felt clean, classy, and stylish. Our Large Room was spacious and came with two balconies – such a treat! The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, and the AC kept the room perfectly cool (very fast as well). I enjoyed the views from our balcony. The location is fantastic – right next to a lovely park, close to several embassies, boutiques, restaurants, and cafe’s. The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was wonderful – a great way to start the day. The shower and bathroom in general was perfect and overall, the stay felt like a chic little retreat in the heart of Athens. It was honestly the perfect way to wrap up our two-week trip in Greece. All in all, though, it was a stylish, and comfortable stay – I’d happily return!
