Offering a terrace and views of the sea, The Olive Yard is set in Gytheio in the Peloponnese Region, 50 km from Kalamata. Monemvasía is 44 km from the property. The entire property was exceptional, definitely exceeding our expectations. We think this was the best value for money during our four weeks in Greece. Highlights were: the large, comfortable and private terrace, where we enjoyed snacks and wine from town; the extremely helpful staff both for our needs during our stay and for information about the area; and the grounds around the building. The view from the terrace was great.

The location is pet-friendly, near organised campings, just a short drive to Mavrovouni and Gythio, with the beach 400 meters on foot. Perfect for a quiet holiday in nature. The hosts are genuinely warm and welcoming, making you feel like one of their own, and breakfast is sufficient.

We stayed for one night (but I wish we’d stayed for two nights at least). Porto Kagio is a very small intimate charming little village stretched across the beach of a small cove. A wonderful getaway spot with stunning views on the approach. The owner Panayioti was kind and generous, offering to help with our bags then bringing us coffee on our patio. Our room was charming and well appointed, with a cupboard, a desk, a suitcase rack, and a little fridge. Clean with a comfortable bed. We had a patio with a sea view and we were a short stroll to the beach. Breakfast was served on the top floor patio although the owner offered to serve us on our patio. Breakfast itself was fine although myself I would have liked some fresh fruit too. We did an easy walk around to the point where there is a little church and a stunning view back to the cove. We ate fresh and perfectly cooked fish at Taverna Porto right on the beach. An enjoyable time altogether.

The suite is fantastic and it has all you may need (maybe except a washing machine). Staff was great, cleaning was done daily. You can order food if you don't feel like going out (it's a 15-20 min walk to the restaurants). The view from the pool is excellent, the water has a good temperature and it's clean. You have parking spaces by the property.

It was located on the second floor and had all the amenities, including spices and olive oil, for cooking. The location was nice because it was just outside of the center of Gythio away from the hussel. You will need a car to get around.

The hotel is located close to beautiful Limeni, easy to access from the main road. New and beautifully designed complex with a view that is simply stunning. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and we were also offered an upgrade to a gorgeous two room suite. The breakfast buffet was simply amazing offering a very wide selection of choices all very tasty. We had an amazing time and would certainly go back next time we are in the area.
