Situated 11 km from Saung Angklung Udjo, Rumah Lereng Bandung offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as an infinity pool and an open-air bath. The guesthouse is built by a dutch couple who has lived in Indonesia for almost 20 years. They build this place step by step and maintain the condition of housing with considerable intention. The rooms are comfortable and quiet, with many details to discover, such as the old wooden furniture from East Timur and the garden panorama designed according to specific slope angle. The local host in charge is an Indonesian couple. They are super friendly and willing to share life stories with guests. Cats and dogs in the facility are well taken care of. It is highly recommended to read the booklet of the "History of Rumah Lereng Bandung" during the stay. In sum, this is one of the best place that I've ever stayed.

Featuring a terrace with pool views, an infinity pool and a garden, Rumah Dharma can be found in Borobudur, close to Borobudur Temple and 34 km from Yogyakarta Tugu Train Station. Great helpful staff, could help us organise tickets to Borobudur. They offer dinner if you tell them in time, and it has a great authentic taste. The breakfast is also freshly prepared and very tasty. The rooms are beautiful little houses (with Aircon) amidst rice paddies. It's quiet and pleasant.

Set in Pleret, 11 km from Yogyakarta, Ada Waktu Villa features a restaurant and free WiFi throughout the property. Free private parking is available on site. Everything was excellent. We stayed 2 nights in a family room because it was the only room left and it was huge, very clean, with a balcony overlooking rice fields. Shower and AC worked perfectly. Breakfast was simple but delicious (fruit juice, fresh fruit, cheese/egg & tomato toastie, tea). Filtered water was available to refill bottles. The owner and his Belgian friend helped us book tickets online for Borobodur & Prambanam, and also secured a driver. We were able to visit Prambanam before lunch, Borobodur after lunch, and also the two smaller Buddhist temples Pawon and Mendut. The hotel owner also booked a car to take us to the airport. We cannot recommend this hotel enough, superb service, including getting up early to give us breakfast. Would definitely stay again and stay for longer, this would be a nice place to unwind by the pool.

Astuti Gallery Homestay features free WiFi throughout and rooms with a flat-screen TV. The property has an inviting outdoor pool and its own restaurant. The food was very nice! The owners cooking is one of the best around!

Arnez Tropical Cottage is set in Pronojiwo. The property is non-smoking and is located 34 km from Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The room was absolutely beautiful. It was large, with a giant comfy bed and the bathroom was also big, with a gorgeous stoned floored shower. The shower was nice and hot - easily the best shower I’ve had in all of Indonesia. Nice and clean as they are new - only been open a month. It was set in a gorgeous area, with lush garden on the property. Where you have breakfast, is on the rooftop, which has an amazing view of the volcano. The free breakfast was delicious. There are a few choices - banana pancakes, scrambled eggs etc and I’ll be thinking about the home made ice tea for a long time!!. It wasn’t too far from the main tourist attractions, you could walk if you wanted. The owner is so lovely and helpful. I messaged with a few questions before my stay and he was so helpful. We hired a bike from him to explore the area and he also organised a very reasonably priced and lovely driver to take us to Malang.

Set in Sidomukti in the East Java region, Dear traveller luxury glamping features a garden. This luxury tent offers a terrace. This was a great choice for our 2 nights close to Tumac and Goa tetes waterfalls. The owner Arma is honestly such a good host, arranging transport and anything that we need whenever. Such a beautiful view from our bed and also breakfast is brought to the little terrace of our tent.
