Boasting a garden and views of city, Evergreen Lodge is a recently renovated homestay set in Padang, 2.3 km from Samudra Beach. The location, the view, the quietness, the facilities, the comfy beds. And more than anything the people. I stayed in 4-5 different places in Padang, this is easily where I would always come back. This place is really about hope and love.

Located in Bukit Lawang, Rambai Tree Jungle Lodges - Family Friendly features a garden, terrace, massage services, and free WiFi throughout the property. Our stay at Rambai Tree lodges was magical. Tia was incredibly helpful and the people in general who work for Rambai and within Bukit Lawang are so so lovely. She helped sort us out with a guide to go and see the Oragutans and we managed to see 8 of them in one day. The guides are knowledgeable, interesting and passionate giving a wonderful overall experience. The food was exceptional and Tia is a phenomenal cook, always providing us with delicious fresh fruit afterwards. The location was exceptional, right on the edge of the National Park and with the roaring sound of the river outside, it was big, clean and comfortable. When we arrived we were greeted by Thomas Leaf monkeys on our porch, it was truly magical and I would recommend this place in a heart beat.

Mario Lakeside Apartments is a recently renovated apartment in Tuk Tuk, where guests can make the most of its garden and barbecue facilities. Where to start! Fabulous quite location next to the lake, very reasonable priced apartment with living space and kitchen, great vegetarian restaurant on sight, Katie and Ali were so very helpful with knowledge, contacts, and information they also had a scooter I rented. This place for me was idyllic I loved it I will definitely be back such a laid back chilled backpacker vibe if that's what your into i can't recommend highly enough!

The property offers quiet street views. friendly staff, Dong is super helpful to give me ideas on what to do around beautiful Lake Toba, nice conversations with Dong and sharing Bintang beer; concert in front of the hotel on Saturday night; clean room.

Tailana Island Pulau Banyak has a garden, private beach area, a shared lounge and terrace in Alaban. The property features a bar, as well as a restaurant serving Asian cuisine. We had a wonderful time in Tailana! The island is paradisiac and it's easy to snorkel around it because there's almost no water current. Also, you can wear whatever type of bathing suit you feel comfortable wearing here. The facilities are beautiful and a great compromise between comfort and adventure. Beds are great, the bungalow was clean and spacious, the mosquito net is probably the best one we've encountered in our trip so far, toilets were always clean, and we really enjoyed the open-air coconut shower. The manager Thomas and his helper Lukas are very friendly people, and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We also loved the food. Edo is such a talented cook, and he didn't mind us watching every step of the preparation of our meals and asking him lots of questions. We would definitely come back to this place because the whole experience was beautiful.

Indra Valley Inn Bukit Lawang features a garden, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Bukit Lawang. The accommodation offers a 24-hour front desk, a tour desk and currency exchange for guests. Smooth communication via Whatsapp about the jungle tour and transport from Medan to the accommodation. Nice location, close to restaurants and shops, nice view of the river. Delicious food, but especially the friendly people who work there made this an unforgettable experience for us. The guides during the jungle tour were very skilled, attentive and patient.

Playgrounds Sabbit Mentawai Surfcamp is set in Pulau Masokut and features a garden, a shared lounge and a bar. Staff on site can arrange airport transfers. I was very happy with how close it is to that water and the boats are moored right out front. Food was different every meal, a mix of Spanish meals and Indonesian and also some Italian. Paco was super helpful organising our fast ferry over there and back, the staff were legends too. Would recommend anyone to stay here.
