Had a great nights sleep and is within striking distance of many places of interest. Lough Gur is worth a visit.

It was great to be able to have everyone together. Mark was the best host ever! He went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. His family has owned the property for many generations, and he is very knowledgeable and interesting.

We have so many fabulous memories made in the amazing barn conversion and having our own private bar.

Shannon Castle Holiday Cottages - Type D by Trident Holiday Homes, a property with a garden, is located in Ballysteen, 27 km from St. Location was exceptional and property could not have been better positioned for views. Full of character, in excellent condition, quiet, all you could ask for onsite. Host was approachable and very helpful.

Comfortable well appointed house with adequate space for 4. Full kitchen and laundry facilities. Stayed 3 nights and used as a base to do day trips to various sights. Highly recommend. Also Theresa left us some nice scones and jam and butter etc. was a welcome treat.

On check in, the receptionist realised our room was over the ballroom where there was a wedding that night. As we have young children, she found us another room in one of the suites. The location is perfect as it sits on the green belt line for biking and walking. The hotel was so charming and Anne delightful. Plus, we watched the Ireland rugby match with the locals. 3 lovely older men sang at the bar old Irish songs.....made my day. Food at the pub is a 10 as well as the staff. Would definitely go back.

Lovely quiet rural setting with plenty of attractions within an hours drive. Lodge had everything we needed, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer etc etc
