Comfy room, big bathroom, AC and a beautiful balcony. Really close to the beach for sunset and nearby food options available. Breakfast was yum too!

Situated in Varkala and with Varkala Beach reachable within 500 metres, Barefoot Hostels, Varkala features a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. The hosts Vikash and Kartik are super friendly and help you with everything (scooter, yoga, massages, cabs, ...). Very social with a great common area and chill atmosphere. Met a lot of cool people there! Vikash makes very delicious fruit porridge and smoothie breakfasts.

Situated in Alleppey, within 1.1 km of Thumpoly Beach and 1.9 km of Alleppey Lighthouse, Venitia Homestay features accommodation with a private beach area and free WiFi as well as free private parking... Frances and Jeeja and their lovely home are what made this stay so enjoyable. The house is spotless and modern. The breakfasts are amazing. I stayed a week just to have some relaxing time. Its quiet this far out of town but there are places to eat along the beach. My personal favourite was Catamaran, recommended by Frances. Great to see village life, watch the fishermen mending their nets, and the women praying each evening at the small shrine, for the safety of the men out at sea. Do the backwater tour by paddle boat, a great day out.

Situated in Alleppey, 300 metres from Alleppey Beach, Hammock Beach Home features air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and express check-in and check-out. Its a lovely house near the beach. The host is a very nice person with a good heart and big smile who cared about our well-being, safety, organized programmes, and helped in whatever we needed. I recommend his place.

No words to describe on how amazing and clean this place is. The fact that it’s sooo neat and so sharp. 8 don’t have words to describe. The place is soo peaceful. My special thanks to Mr Albin - he has been one of the most humble and amazing host, with his constant assistance and my endless needs , a very dedicated person to serve us the best. and also Mr Kartik to help keep patient with our endless inquiry.infact all the staffs are amazing. From the food service to guard they have been the most humble and always with the best smile on their faces. The rooms are spacious and neat. Love and the best experience. My first trip to India and I can say I ended it in the best way.

Boasting a garden and views of garden, Marari Charlys Homestay is a recently renovated bed and breakfast situated in Mararikulam, 200 metres from Marari Beach. What a beautiful location for this Homestay, the garden is carefully manicured and makes you feel Instantly relaxed from the moment you arrive. Binu was on hand the minute we arrived making us a fresh lime juice whilst we did the formalities. Our room was clean a spacious for 2 friends and each room has its own seating area outside. We asked Binu if we could have dinner on the night we arrived and this was accommodated with a fish curry for my friend and a chicken curry for me which was delicious. Our breakfast in the morning was equally as yummy with toast and omelettes cooked to perfection. The beach is a short 5 minute walk and if you walk to your right for 10-15 mins you find more of the bars that serve food. As dog lovers we eye also allowed to take Binu’s dog (beagle) for a walk which was lovely. On the day we were due to leave, Binu kindly gave us a lift to the local bus stop to ensure we were in the right place. Couldn’t fault the place, would stay here again and recommend to anyone heading Marari way.

Offering a garden and sea view, Thottungal Homestay is situated in Ernakulam, 42 km from Kochi Biennale and 32 km from Cochin Shipyard. The homestay was relatively close to the airport, but very peaceful. The property overlooks a natural area. The house is beautiful, the room was large and comfortable, and the owners very friendly. They cooked us a delicious dinner, and gave us a ride to the airport in the morning.
