A recently renovated villa situated in Asago, Takeda Base Inn features a garden. Our host Shin was excellent - responsive and very helpful. He welcomed us when we arrived and explained the beautiful property to us. The house, a traditional wooden structure, was very clean and newly renovated/restored with fireplace and comfortable beds. The house has 4 bedrooms, 2 separate bathrooms and 2 separate toilets which was comfortable for 7 of us. It was a joy to stay in the place which had a full kitchen with modern appliances and generous dining ware - we even had shabu-shabu one night! There is a private zen garden against a backdrop of forest greenery. Perfect for quiet time and relaxation. Also, best to drive there (free parking) and it's close to attractions and hiking trails. We will certainly return.
