Ace Hotel Kyoto features free bikes, fitness centre, a garden and terrace in Kyoto. Very fashionable and trendy. Modern style. Beautifully decorated. Breakfast was excellent as was the Mexican restaurant . They gave a gift (bottle of wine) in the room for my husband birthday - it was a nice touch. Very professional

Well set in the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, hotel anddoggy Kyoto Nijo is located 1.1 km from Kyoto International Manga Museum, 1.9 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall and 2.6 km from... I travel extensively but rarely review hotels. Most tend to just blend into one another. Anddoggy is the exception! Great character (even if you are travelling without pets like me). Exceptionally helpful staff. Special call out to Isogawa-san who flagged that I had left valuables behind and had it shipped to my next hotel. Will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. Rooms were super clean and spacious too!

We were the only guests and had use of all the facilities- being able to wash and dry clothes overnight was very useful. The owner of the house was exceptionally helpful - she drove us around and we took her to dinner in the evening and she took us to her favorite bar. It was fun to have our own guide and interesting to talk to her about the area. She also drove us to the station the next morning. Definitely a cultural experience!
