Located in Kikuchi and only 18 km from Hirayama Hot Spring, 民泊サライ七城 provides accommodation with mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking. We chose Kikuchi instead of Kumamoto, to get away from the city before our trip to Mt Aso. We got a lovely country house, but the main benefit was the lovely couple who hosted us. Super friendly and helpful. I enjoyed breakfast, my wife skipped hers, so the host packed it as a bento box for our lunch. Vegetables from the garden. A guided visit to the forest to see fireflies. Tastes of local food and drink. It was if we were lodging with my favourite aunt and uncle.

Outstanding service, amazing food (dinner and breakfast included, both multi course exquisitely prepared works of art!) , facilities were lovely (private onsen), very comfortable bed, wonderful stay.

Rental villa Gontaya, a property with a terrace, is situated in Takamori, 50 km from Kumamoto Castle, 25 km from Mount Aso, as well as 39 km from KK Wings. Love the wooden structure of the property. It is super spacious, and quiet. The host had provided good direction as to how to navigate to the property, making life easier for me travelling there by car (especially in the dark). The kitchen had all the utensils I needed to prepare a good decent dinner for my family. The host also kindly provided some complimentary gifts for our stays. Thank you.

Hokkoma Aso Private cottage 1棟貸しコテージ南阿蘇, a property with a garden and a terrace, is located in Aso, 35 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto, 45 km from Suizenji Park, as well as 46 km from Hosokawa... The cottage was very comfortable, quiet, clean, and spacious. The kitchen was well appointed and if there was something we needed that wasn’t supplied we just had to ask Mayumi the owner.

A cozy, beautifully designed home with attention to every little detail, overlooking an open view. The host was lovely and available for any questions. Perfect for a couple!

Boasting garden views, AsoSweet provides accommodation with a garden and a balcony, around 22 km from Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto. This place had everything we needed and we wished we could stay longer.

Featuring a sauna, Rakuten STAY VILLA Aso Kurokawa -105 1LDK pet allowed Capacity of 6 persons is situated in Minamioguni. Really amazing house and location. We didn't walk to the nearby onsen town, but it is walkable (a bit of a hill), and there are many walking trails around the house. This house has a fence for dogs but we didn't travel with pets and found it made a great yard for our kids to play. The onsen bath in the house is great and there is plenty of space.

Located within 24 km of Egao Kenko Stadium Kumamoto and 33 km of Kumamoto Castle, フォレスタ阿蘇車帰 provides rooms in Aso. Great location for the Tenmonkan district and getting to Sakurajima island (10 min walk to ferry). The host was also very nice and welcoming.
