Well set in the Nakagyo Ward district of Kyoto, hotel anddoggy Kyoto Nijo is located 1.1 km from Kyoto International Manga Museum, 1.9 km from Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall and 2.6 km from... I travel extensively but rarely review hotels. Most tend to just blend into one another. Anddoggy is the exception! Great character (even if you are travelling without pets like me). Exceptionally helpful staff. Special call out to Isogawa-san who flagged that I had left valuables behind and had it shipped to my next hotel. Will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. Rooms were super clean and spacious too!

Nice traditional house with very welcoming owners. Tasty and very nutritious brekfast. Comfortable traditional beds and pillows.

Right in the heart of Kyoto, situated within a short distance of Kyoto International Manga Museum and Nijo Castle, Kasuian offers free WiFi, air conditioning and household amenities such as an oven... We LOVED our stay here in Kyoto! Our family stayed for a week in this home and absolutely adored the neighborhood location and charm! The host is the sweetest woman and very responsive. We enjoyed wandering the streets and finding small shops and cafes tucked around every corner. The location is super-convenient to bus and metro lines as well as several grocery stores. At the end of our week here, our teenage kids were begging us not to leave, we all loved it so, so, much!

Open from 2016, Four Seasons Hotel Kyoto features a Western-style restaurant and a tea house by a pond in Shakusuien Japanese garden as well as a lounge. Kyoto Station is a 7-minute drive away. Simply beautiful, calm and the staff is just beyond wonderful.

A 10-minute walk from the JR Kyoto Train Station, Takigawa Ryokan features comfortable Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. This Ryokan was excellent in many ways. First, although the place is within walking distance from Kyoto station, you can also take the subway right next to the location (in case you have large suitcases). Second, it is pet friendly! They accepted my and my small Chihuahua, and they also respected my wishes to put off cleaning in order to allow my dog to roam freely in the room. Third, the staff are so friendly and accommodating! My partner couldn't sleep because of some noise in the next room and so the staff happily moved him to a quieter room IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT! They were wonderfully accommodating! 本当にありがとうございました。
