I travel extensively but rarely review hotels. Most tend to just blend into one another. Anddoggy is the exception! Great character (even if you are travelling without pets like me). Exceptionally helpful staff. Special call out to Isogawa-san who flagged that I had left valuables behind and had it shipped to my next hotel. Will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. Rooms were super clean and spacious too!

Gallery Nozawa Inn offers accommodation in Kyoto, 25 minutes on foot from JR Kyoto Station. Free WiFi is available throughout the property. Every room includes a flat-screen TV and air conditioning. That was the best place we've ever stayed in! With the most hospitable, kind and attentive hosts, we felt as comfortable as at home! The ryokan was extremely clean, beautiful and equipped with all necessary facilities and even more, everything to make our stay as convenient as possible. The separate topic is the breakfast. It was cooked and kindly served by the hosts themselves and was absolutely delicious, so we got acquainted with the Japanese cuisine in the best manner possible. In addition, we were absolutely delighted by the dog of the hosts! She is gorgeous! All in all, that was a great experience and we wish the hosts all the best and hope very much to return to this wonderful place again!

A 10-minute walk from the JR Kyoto Train Station, Takigawa Ryokan features comfortable Japanese-style rooms with tatami (woven-straw) flooring. Staff is super nice and helpful. They do laundry every day for free. Location was in the walking distance to train station from where you can get anywhere. We really liked the vibe of the place, nice traditional Ryokan. Onsen was nice relax after long day.
