Located 300 metres from Itsukushima Shrine, Miyajima Shiro offers 5-star accommodation in Miyajima and has a garden. This ryokan provides free private parking, a 24-hour front desk and free WiFi. Location was fantastic and within easy walking distance from the waterfront, the Tori Gate, the temples and the shopping strip. Once the sun goes down, all of the touristy shops close and the island becomes beautifully quiet. Book ahead for restaurants as there are not many open once the tourists go home. The ones that are open are fantastic though! This property is also pet friendly, with supplies provided to help clean up after your pet.
