They drove us to the station in the morning. The house is about 20 min walk from the station, easy to find. The house has everything you might need and I mean it, the hosts even left us some ramen, water, snacks. On the morning we left the lady brough us amazing breakfast and coffee. There is everything you might need to do laundry. Just a great place to stay, wish we stayed here longer.

It's a traditionally Japanese house, and all the facilities are traditional as well. It totally feels like home. The host is so nice. If I am gonna come back to Nagano for skiing or visit, I would absolutely stay here again.

There is a private entrance at the chalet for the convenience of those who stay. The chalet provides mountain views, a barbecue, a 24-hour front desk, and free WiFi is available throughout the property. The pictures don't do it justice. We were at the two bedroom house and the view, the furnishing and the decorations were breathtaking! Also there's 2.5 baths instead of 2 as advertised. The location is perfect - about 10 minute walk to the restaurants. However what really made our stay so memorable was the service team. They felt like family and were super responsive to every request on WhatsApp. From restaurant and onsen suggestions to helping us book tables. They sent their own car in a snow storm to rescue us from cortina when all taxis cancelled on us. Words can't describe our appreciation and thank you for making our annual family trip so perfect.

What a wonderful place run by a wonderful family. From the moment I arrived I felt welcomed and comfortable. Summer Leaves is a family run place and you immediately feel welcomed by this family. Breakfast was simple but great, a good variety and freshly made (not buffet.) Location is great, quite but close to everything.

Hands down the best hospitality we have ever experienced. Maki is the most gracious of any host we have ever had. Excellent food (lots of it). This accommodation is worth planning an entire trip around. 2 private onsens. A massage chair. It was our first time with a traditional Japanese futon and we were surprised how comfortable sleeping was. Beautiful scenery and the most hospitable hosts (Maki, her mom the chef and Kenta the house pup) Thank you for an unforgettable stay! We can’t wait to come back again someday.

We had here the most wholesome stay during our 3 weeks trip through Japan. We felt like home here and to think that we found this place by coincidence and since it was quite late, we didn't want to return to Nagano and everything was soo expensive around Togakushi, we found this gem and we were so glad we did!
