The Naramachi Villa Kamunabi is a traditional 'machiya' [townhouse] in a quiet neighborhood just south of the main commercial/tourist area in Nara. The villa has recently been remodelled with exceptional taste and functionality: every detail has been carefully thought out in a beautiful blend of tradition and modern convenience. There were 6 of us, and we had plenty of room. We loved the 2-story layout, with a large tatami room, a cozy living room, kitchen, toilet, and bath on the first floor, and a huge upstairs with two beds, a desk, and a large tatami area. We slept on 3 very comfortable futon on the first floor for those of us over 60 (!), with the younger family members upstairs. The kitchen was well-equipped (with an induction range, no less), and the bath exceptional. There were separate heating/cooling units in the three main areas, which allowed us to adjust temperatures as needed. A perfect place for a family vacation or a group of friends to stay.

It’s nice to stay in the quietness of the countryside after the hustle and bustle of big cities. The hosts are really amazing, we had a delicious dinner and breakfast and just great company. Hopefully we’ll come back for a few days :)

Staff was extremely kind and attentive, we felt like we were in a japanese house. The woods surrounding the house were really beautiful, and food was really good - ideal for anyone wanting to escape and rest in a quiet area

A 700 metri da Stazione di Nara, Residence Ferie Nara station propone un alloggio a Nara provvisto di sala comune, terrazza e cucina in comune. This is a very large property with lots of space for a family. It’s Japanese style but there are also western style beds if you prefer. The owner is very kind and left many snacks and food for us to enjoy. She is an excellent communicator. The location is perfect - right next to Nara station

Having an elevator and a parking spot was convenient for our group especially our elderly. The host was quick in responding to our messages prior and during our stay, she also prepared some goodies for us as breakfast.

The location is around 1km from the final stamp of Koya Nanakuchi route. Minshuku lady boss is kind enough to fetch me from the stamp site to minshuku and send me to the onsen bath nearby too. Good steamboat dinner and traditional Japanese breakfast. It is a minshuku located sideway of road and no shop nearby. So please stock up some groceries and order the dinner and breakfast here. A vending machine is available.

Many booking venues say they are exclusive, but this one truly was. Worth the money we paid…
