つるや旅館 is set in the Yudanaka Onsen district of Yamanouchi, 4.1 km from Jigokudani Monkey Park, 11 km from Ryuoo Ski Park and 22 km from Suzaka City Zoo. We had such a lovely and peaceful stay here. the staff were amazing, especially Toku-Chan :) we were worried about catching an early local train (and it was snowing), but they kindly offered us a free shuttle to the station so we didn’t have to walk. We honestly couldn’t thank them enough. The sweet cake they gave us at check-out was such a nice surprise, and we really enjoyed the onsen. The traditional ryokan room was beautifully kept, very clean, and super peaceful. We would definitely come back if we visit Yamanouchi again 🤍
