It feels like a hidden paradise—far from the hustle and bustle of the world, where you can immerse yourself in tranquility and pure natural beauty. What’s even better is that the accommodation is totally up to standard, striking a perfect balance between comfort and untouched authenticity. What truly blew me away was the daily meals! The Lao hot pot on the first day was a feast for the taste buds—especially the freshly caught river fish, so fresh it melts in your mouth. On the second day, we had authentic larb paired with juicy meat patties; I couldn’t stop popping them into my mouth—they were absolutely addictive! The French crepes for breakfast were an extra surprise, fluffy and sweet. I have to give a big shout-out to Laymon for her amazing cooking! In the evenings, we played the French board game Skyjo with Alex and the other guests, and I really didn’t want the fun to end. Alex and Laymon are incredibly warm and hospitable. Whether you’re an introvert (I-person) or extrovert (E-person), you’ll easily find your comfort zone and feel at home—so long as you love this pure, untouched nature, of course!

Breakfasts were generous and the staff super helpful (with excellent English). We walked to the two different waterfalls on different days, and it’s easy to pop over the bridge to Don Det. Lots of restaurants in the area, too. Dry relaxing
