The room was great and the bed was comfy. Room also comes with air conditioning if selected. You have a great private balcony that you can watch the sunset from daily. You can rent all of your travel plans and all excursions right from the hotel for a low price. The location is great due to being on the opposite side of the island from the port. You can still get over to all the party bars in just a 5 min walk but you don't have to hear the action from your room. My wife got sick while in Don Det and the staff did everything to make our stay as good as possible including letting us add an extra night last minute for a very fair rate. Top notch place and very relaxing

Very clean and quiet with well-equipped rooms, comfortable bed and great views from our balcony overlooking the Mekong. The food at the restaurant was good and the hosts were very helpful. There are free bicycles for guests or you can rent scooters and motorcycles.

The host, Darren was the best! He has all the insights you need about the island, the rooms and bathrooms are spacious, clean and cold from fan and AC. There is a little porch for each bungalow with a table and chairs over looking the Mekong. You can rent a bike from next door and have your laundry done.

Located 8 km from World Heritage Wat Phou, La Folie Lodge offers accommodation overlooking the Mekong River. One of the most beautiful places in Laos - very peaceful and relaxed. The pool and garden space are beautiful and well kept. The staff were great to organize transfer from Pakse to the island, everything went smoothly.

Nicolas Family Homestay - Mekong Home is a recently renovated bed and breakfast in Pakse, where guests can make the most of its open-air bath and garden. I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was very clean, beautifully decorated with great attention to detail, and I had my own private bathroom. I felt comfortable staying with Nicolas and his family. What makes this homestay truly special is Nicolas deep local knowledge. He knows Pakse, the Bolaven Loop and Champasak extremely well and shared countless tips, including non-touristic places and his own custom maps. This was a huge advantage for my travels and something you rarely find elsewhere. If you’re looking for a place with a personal touch and genuinely helpful local insights, I can highly recommend this homestay.

Boasting air-conditioned accommodation with a plunge pool, mountain view and a terrace, Don Falang Homestay- Private Island & Beach is set in Don Det. I'm short on adjectives to describe this beautiful accommodation! A lovely place to relax, just a few meters from Don Det. And I don't want to go on about the good food and how excellent Laymon and Alex are, because I should write a book. I should clarify that it's easily accessible by boat, so there's no question of whether staying on a small island is a problem, because it isn't!

Set in Ban Donsôm Tai, DON DET Souksan Sunset Guesthouse and The Xisland Riverview Studio offers accommodation with air conditioning and access to a garden. Room was great and very clean with an amazing view of the river. I could watch some of the best sunsets of my life from my own terrace. Staff was amazing and very kind, giving a lot of useful information. Also, they provide bicycles for a cheap price. Breakfast is also delicious.

Pan guest house Donkhone is set in Ban Donsôm and features a terrace. Offering a restaurant, the property also has free bikes, as well as a public bath and a solarium. The guest house has family... Of the area it was to us the best — a pristine pool and a nice shaded area on the river for watching the sunset. Breakfasts were generous and the staff super helpful (with excellent English). We walked to the two different waterfalls on different days, and it’s easy to pop over the bridge to Don Det. Lots of restaurants in the area, too. Dry relaxing
