Featuring a garden, terrace and views of garden, The Wave Rooms & Hostel is located in Arugam Bay, 300 metres from Arugam Bay Beach. The staff, location and property is great. It's very nice that they've got a communal kitchen and the staff are really friendly. We really enjoyed staying there, thanks!

Situated within 100 metres of Arugam Bay Beach and 3.2 km of Muhudu Maha Viharaya, Tropicana Home Stay features rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Arugam Bay. We stayed three wonderful nights in Tropicana Home Stay. We have traveled around Sri Lanka and stayed in many hotels and guesthouses. This is one of the nicest and cleanest rooms we have had. Also with excellent Internet. It is a small family owned guesthouse with a small supermarket right next doors. The family feeling makes it very cost and accomodating. The owner cocked us a barbecue on our last evening. We can highly recommend this home stay.

Beachfront Location: Whisky Point Resort in Arugam Bay offers a private beach area and direct beachfront access. Guests enjoy sea views and a serene garden setting. The place is super ti va beautifoul. Beach Room restaurant ,staff and the great owers Nicola and Ana makes it a very special place.

Located in Arugam Bay, within 100 metres of Arugam Bay Beach and 2.8 km of Muhudu Maha Viharaya, Bay Dreams Beach Hotel & Surf Camp provides accommodation with a private beach area and free WiFi as... Absolutely the best possible stay in Arugam Bay. Everything was perfect- quiet, lovely, cosy and clean space, delicious breakfast with fresh fruit juices, beautiful and well maintained garden. If you have any problem Iqbal will solve everything- the guests dont have to worry about anything - you feel very safe and taken care of. It is also possible taking surf lessons with Raheem who is experienced surf coach - he always chooses the right spot to go and you really can make a progress with him. Iqbal also helped us with airport bus tickets and even agreed for us to stay at his place 2 more days (that we havent booked before). Last but not least- you can pay by card at his place which has been really important for us. Do not hesitate to visit Bay Dreams beach hotel- you wont regret it - we want to definitely go back!

Charitha Rest provides an open-air bath, as well as air-conditioned accommodation in Ampara. There is a private entrance at the guest house for the convenience of those who stay. Charitha and his family were great hosts and extremely attentive to all our needs (ready to go above and beyond). The food was delicious, the room was large and clean with an air conditioning that worked almost too well, there is a seating area in the garden from which you can hear birds and witness monkeys walking along the electrical wires. The property is walking distance (30 min) from Owagiriya Natabun Viharaya (Buddhist temple ruins) and as we were on our way Charitha kindly gave us a lift, as well as to another destination later during our stay. Both the father and mother are absolute sweethearts, and are more than happy to sit down with you for a chat (I had a little well needed Sinhalese crash course). From what I can see they are building more rooms/bungalows and a restaurant in the back, but as of February 2025 it truly had that quaint local feel I look for when I travel.

Situated 300 metres from Arugam Bay Beach, Starfish Cabbana offers accommodation with a balcony, as well as a garden. Fantastic place to stay. Very relaxed atmosphere and run by some great people who made you feel like part of the family. Excellent value for money and delicious home cooked breakfasts (a different one every day!!)

Situated in Arugam Bay, Forcus Cabanas offers peaceful and quiet accommodation set amidst lush tropical greenery. It operates a 24-hour front desk and provides comfortable rooms with free WiFi access.... We loved everything about this place! The staff is something else - so kind, helpful and welcoming. They make the best breakfast with everything one could dream of :-) Thanks to you three for making our one week stay so memorable. Besides that the location of the hotel was priceless: close to everything (the beach, restaurants etc.) yet so quiet and private. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Arugam Bay! And we’d love to come back.

Located 300 metres from Arugam Bay Beach, Domestic Villa offers accommodation with a patio, as well as a garden. There is a private entrance at the villa for the convenience of those who stay. The property and the house were very beautiful. Such an oasis from the busy streets only 200 meters away. A complete functional kitchen, one of the most comfortable beds in Sri Lanka, and attention to details like private bathrooms for each bedroom and cleanliness to the highest standards. The host, Haleem, is one of the kindest and generous hosts you'll ever meet. There is nothing he will not do for you to make your stay perfect. This property is as good as it gets when enjoying your travel holiday.

Located within 600 metres of Arugam Bay Beach and 4.2 km of Muhudu Maha Viharaya in Arugam Bay, Surf Dream Villa Arugambay offers accommodation with seating area. The property was lovely. We also took the surf lessons and they were fantastic! We had so much fun. We are complete beginners and it was so well taught, and Apple knew the spots to go to!!

Located in Arugam Bay, 400 metres from Whisky Point, STARFISH beach bungalow provides accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. This place felt magical and we really felt like home here! Don’t know if it’s gonna be that way in a few years, but staying here instead of Arugam Bay was the best decision. The town here is so small but such a safe space! The rooms are decorated with love and the garden is really special as well. This was by far our favorite place to stay in Sri Lanka. We went surfing in the morning (6 am) and it’s just around the corner. A special surprise was the family dinner we had together with all guests, really nice for connecting but also really delicious!! So thankful to have met Sveva and Raj:))
