Learned this was one of the original hostels on Ometepe. Breakfasts and dinners were freshly prepared with local ingredients. Their dogs and cats were very nice to spend time with. The hosts can lease scooters and deliver them for competitive prices. Communication with host prior to and during stay was excellent.

The hotel was quiet, cleaned everyday and the rooms were so nice and spacious with a massive comfy bed!
Felt so relaxed here and its footsteps from the surf and in a great location near the best restaurants and cafe.

This place is a one of a kind gem in Ometepe. The food is amazing, the location is perfect (the lake is at the end of the lane if you want a quick dip) and it’s conveniently next to both shops and restaurants. The beautiful art that is characteristic of Lazy Crab is incredible, it made the vibe of the hostel relaxing and it was offset by the fireflies that are visible from the terrace in the evening. The owner was helpful, caring and was happy to share tips for the best places to visit on the Island. I will definitely be returning.

Absolutely wonderful hosts to stay with. Really lovely couple with beautiful family! The location is perfect, just at the edge of the town, you can walk in to the restaurants and bars in 5 minutes. They provided us with a mini motorcycle for the day which we used to explore the island. The room was very comfortable and such a good price. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing hand made building with lots of comfort. We loved the apartment. Space to relax, cook and enjoy the view of the lake. The location was great too, near a few cafes and restaurants, including lovely cafe Campestre. Indira and Che are both really helpful, arranging bike rental and advising on tours, buses and boat departures.

Such a unique experience at a great location! My room was wonderful, with an awesome volcano view. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was simple, yet quality and the rest of the offerings at the restaurant were delicious. I would recommend this place to anyone that is comfortable being close to nature.
