Wisteria Way is a recently renovated guest house in Opononi, where guests can make the most of its garden and shared lounge. Quirky, interesting, beautiful location. Quiet despite being next to highway. Great hosts could not have been more helpful.

Very respectful and good advices on what to do. Clean cabin and close from everything.

Taipa Views Bed & Breakfast is located in Taipa at Doubtless Bay Northland. It is close to Cable Bay and Mangonui. Super comfy, private, and well appointed. We were exhausted so did not get to interact as we would have liked. That is definitely something we missed out on. Location is perfect for a quick hop over to Huka Falls. Breakfast was perfect, light and fresh.

Featuring air-conditioned accommodation with a patio, Thistle Do Beach Bach is located in Ruakaka. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi. It was close to the place we needed to be. The owner was lovely and facilitated an early check in even though we didn’t end up needing it.

Chalet Cullen, is set in Mangawhai. This property offers access to a balcony, darts, free private parking and free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 1.8 km from Mangawhai Heads Beach. This accommodation is superb in every way, very spacious, lovely furniture, comfortable bed, good bathroom and fabulous view. Well maintained outside area, with deck, table and chairs etc, free on-site parking and excellent WiFi. It is very close to the estuary, the ocean beach and close to the local Mangawhai Heads shops and restaurants. Would highly recommend and look forward to staying again.

Waimoana Garden Accommodation has well-equipped accommodation featuring free WiFi and located 3 km from the town centre of Whangarei. The pet-friendly property features a terrace. Neat, clean, Sue was a great host, garden is beautiful, location is great.

Featuring free WiFi and a barbecue, Tokatoka views Farmstay offers pet-friendly accommodation in Ruawai. Free private parking is available on site. Some units have a seating area where you can relax. This stay was a highlight of our trip around North Island. Comfortable and clean accommodations but your added bonus are the Owners Peter and Sarah who not only made us a fantastic meal but showed us their beautiful farm animals and shared their lives. If you love to play games (rummykub, card, etc) this is your place! We cannot wait to come back!
