Amazing attention from the lovely family, home-cooked meals, they took amazing care of us and the kids. we loved the easy access to the river, the sound of the birds, the general care. We were also lucky to go on a rafting adventure with Rudy the owner and we loved it!

Set in Cusco, 5.2 km from Wanchaq Train station, KOSKO Casa Hotel offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. Rómulo and Helga were fantastic hosts: so warm, welcoming, and going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We ended up extending our stay here because we didn’t want to leave! Our room was awesome, nicely decorated, good natural light, with hot water bottles delivered each night to make our beds even cozier. Breakfast was avocado, toast and jam, and 2 eggs sunny side up. There was tea and hot water available all the times in the kitchen. Helga loves plants and the garden area right outside the kitchen was very beautiful and with lots of birds! My favorite thing about this place, besides the hosts, is that you can walk out the door and be in a lovely natural park-like setting where you can walk to many nearby archeological sites. Rómulo showed us around Temple of the Moon and gave us a very spirited tour, which was a highlight. It’s a really fun walk into town on the Inca Trail and down a pedestrian stairway lined with restaurants— even though it’s “far” from the city center, it’s actually a very nice walk to get into town, along peaceful paths with no cars! On the day we left, Rómulo drove us into town, along with 2 groups of other guests, and helped us exchange money, get an oil change, find the right entrance to a museum, etc. He took care of all of us and helped us along our way. Incredible hosting!

Boasting full-day security, this property also provides guests with a picnic area.... I used the Sauna and did the weaving activity, and both were truly amazing! I was feeling a bit unwell due to the altitude and felt the sauna relieved some of my symptoms. The weaving was very special- we collected nearby plants to make the dye and was taught by the owners and one of the elders the full weaving process. Of course, the rooms and view were beautiful. I was blessed with Lama visitors in the morning which was very special! I am definitely coming back to try the other activities and spend more time.
