El Costa del Sol Wyndham Cusco ocupa una mansión reformada del siglo XVII situada en el centro de Cusco, a poca distancia a pie de la plaza Mayor de la ciudad y de la iglesia de La Merced. This is a really lovely hotel in a fantastic location, just a flat three-minute walk to the Plaza Mayor and cathedral, which made getting around the historic centre very easy. It actually exceeded expectations and is more beautiful in person than can be conveyed in photos. We stayed here on two occasions. Once before our tour of Cusco, Sacred Valley and Machu Picchu (with Sam Travel - highly recommend!) and once after. The building has a lot of original character and history, but still feels very comfortable and well set up. On our first visit we were upgraded on arrival to a spacious suite with a separate lounge and a large jacuzzi. The views across the rooftops towards the cathedral were beautiful, particularly in the evening. On the second visit our room was equally lovely, albeit without the views. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. We also had a couple of good dinners in the restaurant, and although it’s a large space, it still feels quite intimate, especially with the open fire going. We didn’t have breakfast, simply because we’re not breakfast people. The central courtyard is a calm space to sit, and there’s a small massage area in one corner. I had a head, back and shoulder massage there and found it excellent.

Michael is an outstanding host! From start to finish he was always present, with great communication and really cared about making our stay the most comfortable. He really pays attention to details and all staff are very nice. Breakfast is great, he prepares it individually to each guest. He helped with tips and even prepared a very special dinner to celebrate the Independence of Peru, it was a lovely night with authentic and delicious Peruvian dish. Last but not least, this was the best shower we had in all our stay in Peru.

Spirit Of The River Lodge cuenta con vistas a la montaña, está ubicado en Cuzco y tiene un restaurante, servicio a la habitación, bar, jardín, terraza y zona de juegos infantil. The property was absolutely beautiful, the rooms were so comfortable and the views spectacular. Claudia was the most wonderful and kind host, with the best recommendations and delicious food. Their llama Tupac and dog Max were amazing, and we loved every moment we spent there. We will definitely come back, and are so grateful for their hospitality.

KOSKO Casa Hotel está ubicado en Cuzco, a 5,2 km de Estación de tren de Wanchaq, y ofrece alojamiento con un jardín, estacionamiento privado gratis, salón compartido y una terraza. Rómulo and Helga were fantastic hosts: so warm, welcoming, and going above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We ended up extending our stay here because we didn’t want to leave! Our room was awesome, nicely decorated, good natural light, with hot water bottles delivered each night to make our beds even cozier. Breakfast was avocado, toast and jam, and 2 eggs sunny side up. There was tea and hot water available all the times in the kitchen. Helga loves plants and the garden area right outside the kitchen was very beautiful and with lots of birds! My favorite thing about this place, besides the hosts, is that you can walk out the door and be in a lovely natural park-like setting where you can walk to many nearby archeological sites. Rómulo showed us around Temple of the Moon and gave us a very spirited tour, which was a highlight. It’s a really fun walk into town on the Inca Trail and down a pedestrian stairway lined with restaurants— even though it’s “far” from the city center, it’s actually a very nice walk to get into town, along peaceful paths with no cars! On the day we left, Rómulo drove us into town, along with 2 groups of other guests, and helped us exchange money, get an oil change, find the right entrance to a museum, etc. He took care of all of us and helped us along our way. Incredible hosting!

Refugio de Mery Lucmabamba está ubicado en Sahuayacu, a 17 km de Huayna Picchu, a 19 km de Machu Picchu y a 19 km de Museo de Sitio Manuel Chávez Ballón. Mery and Rosalio are the kindest people you'll meet. Very outgoing and friendly. This is the best food I had on the trek, maybe the best I ate in Peru. Comfortable beds, hot shower, good WiFi, perfect resting place after a day hiking. Fresh juices here are incredible, and the coffee they grow is also tops. My suggestion is stay here!! And ask Rosalio to make you his signature sandwich for the next day's hike! Ps - super cute pups

Sky Dome Peru está ubicado en Cuzco y ofrece alojamiento con vistas a la montaña, un jardín, una terraza y un restaurante. El camping ofrece wifi y estacionamiento privado sin cargo. THE owners are husband and wife and they are delightful. Still improving and keen to get better but the view and family atmosphere with dogs and cats. small children and resident alpacas and Llamas roaming around made it memorable. Joelle the owner even drove us back down to Chincero for free.
