When we booked this accommodation it seemed almost to good to be true. But the villa surpassed our expectations. Beautifully located on the southern part of Carabao Island overlooking the see and with a view on Boracay. There was plenty of space and everything was very clean and in good working order. The pool was nice especially for sunsets. The spacious terrace was the best place to be, with always a refreshing breeze. Our host Rose is a gem. She picked us up from San Jose and did eveything to make our stay unforgetable.

The place is run by the very nice and helpful Filipino/German couple Marevic (Marie) and Uwe. They will help you in organising everything from a day trip to Cresta De Gallo (for 3500 pesos as of March 2024) to the transfer back to Magdiwang if you have to catch a ferry to leave this spectacular yet relaxed island. Two well equipped and modern bungalows in a beautiful garden make you instantly feel home away from home. Marevic handles everything food related and Uwe is the facility manager. Even if there is a brownout on the island: no worries, solar powered batteries will take care of the situation. So you will never be long without light - or Wi-Fi… 😉 Don’t forget to try the homemade icecream. My favourite was Ube (some slightly salty sort of beetroot in a deep purple colour). The continental breakfast is delicious and after weeks of instant coffee I especially enjoyed the filter coffee. The bread with jam was also very nice. My favourite for dinner was the tasty burger. The meals can either be enjoyed on your own patio or in a bamboo shack right in front of the beach with Cresta De Gallo in the distance.

Situado em Romblon, o Tinaoog Beach Resort é um resort ecológico que dispõe de electricidade energia solar e de água com efeito chuva. A propriedade tem uma área de praia privada e um jardim. We loved the out of the way feel with very few guests. We personally enjoyed the more tradition huts with no concrete walls, open windows and non Aircon. Though it was hot at night. The staff of Leo, Linda and Marilyn were faultless, accommodating and kind. We enjoyed the simple Philippine set meal for dinner. You don’t get to meet the French owners as they have been living in France for several years but their staff above make everything perfect. . Excellent value accommodation but 5* hotel resort it is not, which was just perfect for us

Carabao Island Observatory and Think Tank tem um jardim, área de praia privada, um salão partilhado e restaurante em San Jose. Os hóspedes têm à sua disposição um bar. They upgraded my room which is located at the beach camp resort (beach side) with better amenities just across the road since there aren’t any people in the actual observatory building. the place is much nearer to the bar so i can easily order food/drinks. The sunset was excellent to cap off the day.
