Really wonderful getaway that was super peaceful and restorative, at the foot of the mountain of Monsaraz. Wanted to stay longer it was so wonderful. Such a lovely, quiet location! It's perfect for families, especially if you have pets and want to stay a mile or two outside of the city. We had a very comfortable two bedroom with several patios. The pool is heated and provides a perfect space to spend an afternoon. Our dog, Maddi, was welcomed and able to go everywhere, which is such a rarity for hotels in Portugal. Breakfast was consistently delicious during our stay. My husband had the pork cheeks for dinner via room service and was very impressed! Thank you to the owners for creating such a lovely space for us to stay.

We were delighted! Ines—one of the owners— is warm and welcoming. Our room was splendid—comfortable, lovely, overlooking the beautiful pool. Breakfast was perfect—obrigado Patricia! We liked this beautiful Solar ( a former school where Ines was a schoolgirl—how cool!) so much that we stayed one more night! My friend left for work in Lisboa and I stayed for a third night! One night turned into three because it is so delightful!
