Staying at Puro Dão was a truly fantastic experience. The hotel itself is a beautiful building with a modern Wabi-Sabi/Japandi-inspired aesthetic, where concrete meets light woods and lush greenery. As soon as you enter the reception, your eyes are drawn to the stunning plants and the large windows framing the breathtaking views of Serra da Estrela. We loved everything about this place. The spa, in particular, is outstanding. We spent most of our stay enjoying the pool, which offers an incredible panoramic view of Serra da Estrela. Everything in the spa area was impeccably maintained and felt very high quality. We were especially lucky to see Serra da Estrela covered in snow, making it an unforgettable experience to relax in the warm pool while gazing at the snowy landscape. The staff also deserve special praise. Everyone we encountered was incredibly polite, helpful, and always welcoming us with a smile. Breakfast was another highlight. The buffet was beautifully presented, and the food was delicious. Overall, Puro Dão exceeded our expectations in every way. A peaceful, stylish retreat with exceptional service and views; we would absolutely love to return.

Lovely property with a lovely host, Edgar. This was one of my favorite accommodations of my two week trip to Portugal. I appreciated the location being a short drive outside the city center but close enough to enjoy all that Coimbra has to offer. Edgar was so kind, extremely helpful and really made my stay special. The renovation of the family home is very stylish while remaining respectful of the home’s history. The attention to detail in my room and throughout the home is one of the best I’ve seen. Don’t forget to look up and admire the detail of the ceilings! The breakfast was always fresh, delicious and plentiful. I especially loved the fresh farm eggs made to order as well as the orange juice squeezed from their groves out back and the fresh baked cakes. I highly recommend Oryza for your Coimbra stay and cannot wait to visit again.

The rooms were clean, the Christmas decorations added to the festive atmosphere, and the spa experience was wonderful for relaxation.

El Malibu Foz Hotel se encuentra en una zona residencial de Figueira Da Foz, a solo 2 km de la sierra de Nuestra Señora del Buen Viaje, y dispone de una pileta grande. Very cool ‘beach house’ styled hotel, that was modern clean and well maintained. Lots of lovely touches in the common areas making it feel fresh and welcoming. Large pool area that was well tended to by staff providing drinks. Free onsite parking. An easy 10 minute walk to the beach. Be well aware when booking with children to very clearly state their ages on the booking. We booked for two adults and two children (using their correct ages) however upon checkin we were charged an additional €50 per child on top of the room rate for them to share a pull out sofa. Not sure if the issue lies with booking.com or the hotel itself but this definitely put a dampener on the stay. That aside very nice stay in a spacious and well laid out room, in a hotel with great facilities.
