Set in Coimbra, 3.3 km from Portugal dos Pequenitos and 3.4 km from Santa Clara a Velha Monastery, Oryza Guest House& Suites offers accommodation with free WiFi and access to a garden. This was truly an exceptional stay. The guesthouse is beautiful and has a very interesting history. It is the former house of the owner's great-grandparents, who were rice farmers. Now it is a stunning property with a pool, beautiful garden and farm with fruit trees and chickens (that provide the eggs for breakfast). Luiz is incredibly kind and welcoming, as is the rest of the staff. The house itself is really beautiful, it's a historical building, but very tastefully modernized, so that it is as comfortable as any luxury hotel, but much more interesting and charming. The kitchen is incredibly cozy, there's a woodburning oven, a fridge with local beers and wines, as well as fresh fruit from the garden and (insanely good) freshly baked cake. The room really was like a luxury hotel room, very comfortable mattress, huge bathroom with a new shower, etc. Breakfast was delicious and included many products from the farm, like eggs, jams, juice, etc. The house is located outside Coimbra, but only a five minute drive away from the city centre, which I actually preferred, because at night it was quiet and calm (and much easier to find parking than in the old city). I stayed for one night and while you really only need one day to see the major sights in Coimbra, next time I would stay for a few extra days to relax in the guesthouse and explore the area more.

The staff were incredibly kind, and we were thrilled to have a pet-friendly hotel. The rooms were clean, the Christmas decorations added to the festive atmosphere, and the spa experience was wonderful for relaxation.

Pousada De Viseu is a grand 19th-century building in the city of Viseu. It offers spacious rooms, spa facilities, and outdoor swimming pools. De Viseu rooms have parquet floors and modern furnishings.... Great place, great atmosphere. One of the best breakfasts I had in a European hotel!

A 2-minute walk from the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fátima, Hotel Santa Maria offers a garden, a restaurant and a bar. Guest rooms include air conditioning, minibars and bathroom amenities. Location is good, it's close to the centre of Fatima. Breakfast is also good, there are varity of food, it's a chance to try different kind of portgual dishes. The room is big and comfortable, this is the best value hotel for our Portgual trip.
