Breakfast, even though in a different building close by, was also delicious with multiple savory and sweet options. The room was spacious, with enough equipment to make your own food in the studio if you want. The bed and the pillows we also comfortable and the small terrace of the room gives enough space to relax after your excursions.

Each accommodation is elegantly decorated and includes tea-and-coffee making facilities, a minibar, and a balcony with sea views. All rooms have a seating area with a sofa. We had a wonderful stay at Aqua Natura Madeira. The room was fantastic and the ocean view was absolutely breathtaking — waking up to it was a highlight of our trip. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly, always ready to assist and make our stay comfortable. The spa facilities added an extra magical touch to the experience. There’s nothing better than soaking in the jacuzzi after a day of conquering levadas — such a perfect reward. At night, we were treated to beautiful views of the night sky and stars, which made the experience even more special and memorable. Breakfast was also excellent, with great quality and variety. We are really happy we chose this hotel and would definitely stay here again. Just a small note for future guests: if you plan to use the natural pools located just beneath the hotel, keep an eye on the weather. In case of severe conditions, they may be closed. This has nothing to do with the hotel, as the pools are a public facility — just something to be aware of to avoid disappointment. Highly recommended!

Guests can also relax the spa & wellness centre where a sauna and massage therapies are provided. Perfect location, perfect service, perfect food:) This place was worth every cent (or penny, depends on your currency of choice). I'm so happy I didn't decide to stay in Funchal or any other hotel closer to the airport. This place had a soul.

Set in Machico, S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal is a recently renovated accommodation, 22 km from Santana's Traditional Houses and 30 km from Marina do Funchal. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 500 metres from Beach Pedradeira. The guest house features family rooms. Everything was great. The room was so big and bright. We even had a view of the sea from the balcony. Pedro was super helpful and welcoming.

Had lots of fun at a BBQ with other guests and the hosts. Enjoyed all the fresh food to try. Shared kitchen and the deck comed with all you need for a good stay. We will come back :)

Featuring mountain and garden views, this holiday home also provides guests with free WiFi. The property is non-smoking and is located 23 km from Marina do Funchal. Super, super clean, well appointed accommodation with ocean views, wild style garden and all the amenities necessary for a comfortable, relaxing family stay. Great host who was easy to communicate with. The only drawback for a person who is mold sensitive like myself was the humidity smell in the downstairs bedroom. Something that seems to be pretty ubiquitous on an island with so much water everywhere.

The property is around 31 km from Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools, 33 km from Marina do Funchal and 31 km from Volcanic caves of São Vicente. Staff on-site can arrange a shuttle service. We really enjoyed the location away from the busy areas on the island. The apartment was just a pictured and the views was amazing. We also enjoyed the cows(mom and baby)just below having fun in the sugar cane. I was concerned about parking but it was not an issue and we always found a place, the cost was minimal and free on Sundays(if I remember). Also, there is a grocery store within a short walk from the apartment.
