Our stay at The Architects’ House was an absolute delight from start to finish. Henrik is one of those rare hosts who combines genuine warmth, professionalism, and an eye for detail that makes you feel at home the moment you arrive. Communication was seamless—every message was answered quickly and with kindness. We arrived early in the morning after a long flight, and Henrik went out of his way to make sure the apartment was ready for us by 9 a.m. His welcome message was so thoughtful and clear that check-in felt effortless. The apartment itself is stunning—full of character, beautifully designed, and steeped in history. You can feel the soul of Stockholm in every detail. The location couldn’t be better: right in the heart of Gamla Stan, on a quiet, picturesque street, steps away from the subway and the old town’s best cafés and restaurants. Small touches made all the difference—a bottle of wine waiting for us, fresh towels delivered with care, and the cozy atmosphere that made us feel like true locals. Even when a small issue came up with the hair dryer, Henrik’s immediate and gracious response reminded us how much he values his guests’ comfort. Bärsta Bagarstugan BnB ligt op 26 km van Congrescentrum Aros, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, een terras en een 24-uursreceptie. Ulrika was a warm and welcoming host. Super cute place in lovely surrounds. The decor and vibe were perfect 🫶. We felt at home and were sad we couldn't stay for longer. Breakfaat had everything we needed, including fresh local eggs. We will stay here next time we are in the area!

Bärsta BnB, een accommodatie met een terras, is gelegen in Kolbäck, op 27 km van Treinstation Västerås, 35 km van Parken Zoo, en 50 km van Kasteel Ängsö. Absolutely amazing location. Beautiful area where the Bärsta BnB house is located. Although it follows a few rural roads, it is very easy to get to (following your gps device, as well as signs on the road) even in dark and snowy conditions. The ingredients for the perfect breakfast were all provided in the fridge in the house. Lovely people and easy communication, and I really hope to come back again to spend more time.

Kristina Attefall i Västerhaninge ligt in Västerhaninge, op 23 km van Tele2 Arena, en biedt een tuin, allergievrije kamers, en gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Goede locatie, vlak bij het pendelstation richting Stockholm en toch rustig. Volledig autonoom, mooi ingericht. Prijs was zeer schappelijk, en contact via de chatfunctie ging vlot.

Het Ett Hem is een 5-sterrenhotel met een restaurant, een bar, een fitnesscentrum en een sauna. Het ligt in Östermalm, op 1,9 km van het Sergels Torg-plein en het centrum van Stockholm. Dit hotel is het allerbeste stadshotel waar ik ooit ben geweest. Het voelt alsof je thuiskomt ipv een kaal en afstandelijk hotel. Het personeel is extreem (maar niet overdreven of te pusherig) vriendelijk en behulpzaam. De kamers zijn heerlijk en het voelt echt alsof je bij mensen thuis bent.

Bogesund Slottsvandrarhem bevindt zich in Vaxholm, op 4 minuten lopen van Kasteel Bogesund, en biedt accommodatie met een tuin, gratis privéparkeren, een gedeelde lounge en een terras. Hele vriendelijke eigenaar, die ons een lift heeft gegeven naar Vaxholm. Ontbijt was uitstekend. Kamer was netjes en schoon.

Pensionat Gyllenhjelmsgatan bevindt zich in Strängnäs, op 34 km van Strand Bredsand, en biedt accommodatie met gratis WiFi en gratis privéparkeren. Absolutely gorgeous, historic accommodation in the heart of Strängnäs. You can see the Domkyrka bell tower from the bedroom window and it’s a short walk to the harbour and windmill (well worth a tour—it’s free and the guides are fantastic). Henrik and Isa have thought of every comfort and are incredibly obliging hosts. The bed is possibly the most comfortable I’ve ever slept in. Strängnäs itself is adorable. Its location on Mälaren makes for a beautiful outlook, there are cafes, restaurants and boutiques. There are shops, pubs and swimming spots. The train takes you to Stockholm in less than an hour and it’s not too far to Mariefred and Gripsholms Slott. I mean, what’s not to love? Henrik and Isa have good recommendations to suit your needs. You should stay here!
