I can only say good things about this place. First of all the family is really nice and via whatsapp always reachable. Secondly they organise whatever you need (ride, car, boatrip etc). I didnt to a boatrip so cannot tell much, but organised a car within a few minutes. Of course it is basic but still clean, hot water and the best Wifi I had so far. It is in the middle of nowhere, you either need transport or quite a bit of walking towards Santo Antonio or the beaches. I did it, Beaches are about 2-3h round trip. Santo Antonio about 2h round trip but quite steep. Dinner I eat twice and both times plenty and good and it is afordable. The son even speaks perfect english, which is super rare in STP. The cherry on top airport transfer is free

We absolutely loved the staff Betty and Marlene. Both were so lovely, warm hearted kind and patient, always with a smile on their beautiful faces even through having to deal with two travellers who spoke no Portuguese. Thet went above and beyond making our stay comfortable, making us feel part of their family. What a special place for the person who wants to explore the natural world of Principe. Be prepared facilities are basic in the area with a local shop that provides only the very basic food stuffs and takes local cash. There is an amazing secluded beach at the bottom of a ,steep at times, jungle track that is accessible by foot only, its about 2km walking down and up around 223m of elevation. There is plenty to see on the route, including lots of parrots roosting at dusk.

We found this amazing place on Booking and hesitated at first to book due to the location and incorrect old reviews - yes, it's a little further than most properties: but that just makes it better. I'm so incredible glad we stayed here. The location is beyond anything you can imagine, right on the edge of the national park but you feel in the middle of the forest. We made tapes of the sound because no one would otherwise believe you can hear so much animals! The massive tree in front has something of 'mother tree' in avatar and we spend hours just looking at in and all the live in and around it - its a world on itself - or on the bench in the front garden with a nice view on the ocean. The house looks brand new, is situated on a slope in a plantation garden (cacao, piment, vanilla and banana, fruits) and is recently totally renovated: perfect bed and mattress, rain shower, spotless and hyper clean well furnished rooms, a library, satellite tv (we had the view in front so did never use it), and all very warmly and beautiful decorated: you feel at home the moment you enter the door. It was also nice to have mosquito nets and protection everywhere - although we never saw much insects. It's crazy equipped, even a good working washing machine, charged flashlights, fans, a hammock with incredible view, cooler, all imaginable kitchen things, iron stuff... really all was available. The view on the forest from the big balcony is incredible, we did see all the typical and endemic birds, often the monkeys, flying bats eating the fruit from the mango and bread tree in front, parrots,... unbelievable to have this paradise in front. The beach is as beautiful as banana beach, but totally private and remote and just 10 minutes further on the road, snorkel there, the reef in front and around the rocky corner is crazy, sharks, turtle, manta (coral bleaching like all over but plenty of fish), you can also take a wooden cano and explore...

This is the best value hotel for people looking for entry level accommodation. It is right at the edge of town. The rooms have a fan or AC. There is hot water. The breakfast is huge. There is a place to hang wet clothes. The tiny taxi stand to hire motorbike drivers is close by. The hotel will arrange tours if you don’t want to use motorbikes. Carlos and his staff are all nice.

Casa Mãe is a well-renovated house with two rooms, one living room, one bathroom, and two balconies with amazing views. From the front balcony every morning we could see thousands of beautiful butterflies and colorful birds and from the back balcony, the view is unique to the garden, fruit trees, and plants like vanilla or black pepper. We also can see the sea and the national park. The staff is very kind and the property is always very clean. Near is the Pousadinha Mar Ave Ilha which belongs to the same owner where we can spend time reading or watching more than 100 TV channels from all over the world. The local meals were also fantastic, especially the fresh fish and the octopus. I truly recommend Casa Mãe to other guests who want to have a peaceful time. Grade 10.

Obo National Park noktasına yalnızca 15 km mesafede bulunan Casa do Rio tesisi; teras ve masaj hizmetleri olanaklarına erişimin yanı sıra oda servisi olanağı ile Nova Cuba şehrinde konaklama imkanı... Staff was friendly and always happy to help! AC was a nice to have. Electric bikes available were great to visit some nearby beaches.
