The breakfasts are incredible. All the staff are wonderful and Henry was also incredibly generous with his time, helping us make the most of our stay. We were a group of eight and we all absolutely loved our stay and are all determined to make it back one day.

Situated in Bangkok, 2.6 km from One Bangkok, Shama Yen-Akat Bangkok features accommodation with a fitness centre, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. The whole experience at Shama Yen Akat Bangkok was awesome end-to-end. At first, we chose not to pay for the breakfast to allow us some freedom to have breakfast in different places, but their restaurant has a very delicious and well-served breakfast option for a reasonable price (350 Bahts/person). We ended up having different things every day but at the very same place. Everything was delicious! Fortunately, the hotel does not offer those inflated cereal-chockie bars. Much better than that, there is an awesome supermarket walking distance, where we could find great deals. If you like special beers, you will find some absolutely amazing Thai craft beers out there (I recommend the Raven IPA). We could see some NYE fireworks from the nice rooftop, we could also enjoy the pleasant pool area (where towels are provided) after a busy day, and we also did some work out at their gym (treadmill was out of service, I have to say). If you want to go out for some running, there is a beautiful park (called Lumpini) in the area. A Grab (equivalent to Uber) from the hotel takes no more than 5 minutes to take us there at a fair price. Finally, if you run out of cash (which is still much used in Bangkok, thankgod not for a Grab), there is a convenient ATM at the entrance of the hotel.

I'm happy that I was offered a better room for the same price! Nice comfortable hotel, it's suitable for short vists or long stays. Little kitchen includes all you need for cooking. Roof pool zone is great and picturesque, but you should wake up early to take a free sunbead. One more pros of this place is a really pleasant reastaurant with European food, it's tasty and it isn't too expensive (there aren't good alternetives around).
