Koh Chang is a beautiful island—not only is the island itself lovely but so are the people who live there. No exception at Lonely Groove: Lemon and her sister were so happy, kind and caring, their big smiles and warmth reminded me of being at home with my mom. I felt safe and comfortable my entire stay. I loved chatting to them before heading out to explore or after coming back from a long day in the sun. Some notes: the bungalows are further inland which means less foot traffic and noise from other hotels/bars; it's peaceful, quiet and clean; the beach is less than five minutes away (stop by all cafes/restaurants on the way to/from the beach!); my bungalow was modest and roomy, had all the necessities, including a mosquito net, and aircon didn't cost much more; hammock on the outside patio; watch out for monkeys who want to take your food! I would love to come back.

Our stay at this accommodation was unbeatable. We felt very comfortable here - the facilities were very practical and comfy, at the same time the staff were nice and we felt at home. The hotel reception is their restaurant. I arrived and was greeted immediately by the owner’s husband. He was very friendly and offered me a cold drink. The room was clean and air conditioned. I had not eaten but I enjoyed a delicious meal right on the spot. He was very helpful with information of things to do in the area. It definitely has the charm of a family run establishment and everyone cares about your experience.

The inside was nicely decorated, clean and very cute. The bed was comfortable. The owner was extremely kind and generous. Since I couldn’t drive a motor bike she offered to drive me where I wanted to go each day and pick me up. She even took me places that she wanted to recommend to me or to take pictures of me there.
