Situated in Tūjān in the Gabes region, Dar Fatma Toujane features accommodation with free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub. The property has sea and mountain views. I could not recommend it enough, the best accommodation in Tunisia. We received a very warm welcome from the owners. They served us traditional food, which we ate on the terrace with great views over the canyon and mountains. Squeaky clean room, beautifully furnished and spacious. The region is very peaceful and clean, Toujane is a great choice for a "base" to make daytrips from, see the ksars, Sahara desert and even Tozeur (whole day of driving there and back but it's worth it).

Appartement Vue de Mer Pied dans l'eau is set in Gabès. This beachfront property offers access to free WiFi and free private parking. The view of the sea and the sunrise is incredible. The owner was very hospitable and allowed us to stay at the house a little longer than the check-out time so that my son could play a little more by the sea.

We really appreciated the warm and exceptional approach of the staff and the owners, who helped with every small thing and regularly checked that everything was fine. The accommodation is built in a traditional Amazigh style, but with modern comforts. It is not a very luxurious place, but it has charm and style, offers breakfast and dinner, great "espresso" available for a small fee at any time of the day, and parking. There is also a beautiful viewpoint with a view of the medieval town, which is just a short walk away.

With mountain views, Au Trait d'Union Tijma Matmata is set in Matmata and has a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk, bar, garden, sun terrace and picnic area. The hotel is very unique, every room is a cave. It's similar to the famous Sidi Driss, only it looks much cleaner, and you don't have tourist going around. We were very glad we stayed there. Everything was very clean, much cleaner than "normal" hotels we stayed earlier in our trip. There is private bathroom, even though it's not near your room, it is dedicated to you. We stayed there in November, and we actually were the only guests. I highly recommend getting dinner there as well. The food was delicious, it was cooked right there by owners and was very good.

Situated in Matmata in the Gabes region, Stay in Matmata Chez Azouni features accommodation with free private parking. The holiday home has family rooms. The flat is a hidden gem, everything was super new and very clean. It is very well decorated and equipped. We had everything we needed such as coffee machine, plates, washing machine, hob, airconditionning and heating, duvets and towels. We felt spoilt with the fresh breakfast delivered to our door, we had a variety of food that kept us full all day along with coffee and fresh juice. The area is super safe, we walked around at night, and it felt very safe. The host were very kind and helpful, the let us in and kept asking if we need anything, we felt very welcome. There are great restaurants and coffee places few minutes away. It is highly recommended to stay in this luxury spot to explore Matmata, and to visit the Troglodyte homes and to discover the impressive veiws of the mountains around. The flat has great views over the mountains. We will definitely come back again to discover the whole area around Matmata.
