The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was good and the rooms were cozy. A bonus: the stars in the sky were beautiful, since there is not that much light pollution around. The drive to the hotel is incredibly scenic.

Habib was amazing and took good care of us during the whole trip. The room was very clean and the food (both breakfast and dinner) was delicious, fresh and homemade. We felt like home and we really enjoyed the hospitality. The location was also stunning surrounded by palm trees and just 1.5 drive from the desert.

The owner was very kind and welcoming, and the meals were excellent—I highly recommend having dinner at the hotel. The food was great value, especially given the limited dining options in Matmata.
