Located in Colonia del Sacramento in the Colonia region, with Playa El Alamo nearby, Apartment in an excellent location provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The private apartment behind a family's house had everything that I needed. It was quiet (no noise of barking dogs), clean, spacious, had much-needed air-conditioning, hot water that never ran out on me, and a kitchen that had everything I needed to cook simple meals. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, and always answered promptly on what's app, and went out of their way to see if I needed anything. One thing to mention considering the name of the place is "Apartment in Excellent Location"--yes, the apartment is in a safe, quiet neighborhood, but it is quite far from the old town, which, if you're a tourist, you're probably here to see. It takes 25-30 minutes to walk to/from the ferry terminal & bus station, which is hard when it is really hot (I was there at the end of December). Of course, the answer is to take a taxi, but I was trying to keep expenses down. That being said, the place represents great value, considering what else was available in the old town at the time of my search. Definitely recommended!
