We were highly impressed by the cleanliness of the room and the breathtaking location of the facility. We had a wonderful stay at this indeed 'place of peace'.

Boasting a garden and barbecue facilities, Retief Guest Farm is situated in Kroonstad. All guests at this property enjoy access to a picnic area and to a year-round outdoor pool. Breakfast served in room although in warmer weather one would sit just outside the door at table and chairs in secluded pleasant garden setting. B'fast was fruit juice, amazing muesli and sausage and eggs and a few bits and pieces. The worker (very pleasant lady) who brought the b'fast enquired if she should set the outside table but I said I would sit inside as weather cool. There was a table to eat at in the studio. Accom was good quality, clean and well designed for max space. No propblems there. Easy to find 1 km off N2 about 3 km south of Kroonstadt. I suggest phone when you turn off the highway to ensure you stay on correct unsealed but well maintained road. Variety of and plenty accomodation so probably would get in at last minute. Host Veronika pleasant and switched on. Plenty of thick bush and riverine habitat. Saw large herd of springbok and about 5 Sable antelope. Security appeared to be good.

The Victoria House has mountain views, free WiFi and free private parking, situated in Ficksburg, 1.5 km from Ficksburg Golf Club. It was an awesome nice stay. The owner was very very friendly and kind. I enjoyed very much the familiar and relaxed atmosphere. Dinner was excellent. My room was very comfortable and I enjoyed the new renovated bathroom.

Featuring a garden, terrace and views of garden, The Stoke House is set in Clarens, 26 km from Golden Gate Highlands National Park. We loved everything about the Stoke House! It is located a very short drive away from the center of town, so close to everything Clarens has to offer. We had the main house and a smaller room adjacent to the house. It was perfect for our group. The main house had everything you could need and perfect for self-catering. Lindsey was super easy to communicate with and she was very attentive during our stay. We collected the keys at the brewery and couldn't help but to try the local Clarens brew and have a meal at the same time. Delicious! We will definitely stay at the Stoke House on our future travels through Clarens and the Golden Gate Park!
