Guests can rent bicycles from the hotel to discover the Berdorf countryside. it's a family owned hotel; I had the pleasure of meeting 3 generations. The moment I stepped in I felt somewhat ' at home": lots of original furniture. There is a dining room, an indoor terras, a bar (smoking allowed !) An outdoor lush garden. The room (2 p) and ensuite bathroom was spacious with watercooker etc as advertised. I was baffled with breakfast: an overwhelming choice of bread, sweets, fruit and plenty excellent coffee. Indoor parking is a nice touch as well. They speak french, german, english and even a bit dutch (in that order: so I hope Dutch people will show some courtesy by trying any other language except there own :-) !) Berdorf itself has nothing much to offer; but excellent located from hiking trails within a perimeter of 5 - 10 km. Busses are free but I stuck to my car since I wanted to do/see a lot.

The hostel seemed absolutely clean and everything was in order, nothing broken of too used.

Location is great, hiking trails are easy to access, several bus stops are nearby. We were satisfied with the variety for breakfast and the restaurant is great option for dinner.
