Chunuu was an incredible value and had everything you could ever need - breakfast included, parking, they let you fill up your water bottles at the bar, AC in the room, direct river access, amazing pool, you can pay by card… and much more! Absolutely the best place we stayed in Colombia. I would’ve stayed a month if I could - 2 nights was nowhere near enough.

The location, the staff and the restaurant was AMAZING! We extended our stay as we loved it so much and could have stayed longer. Everything we ate at the restaurant was great! Compliments to the chef. It is a 20ish minute walk to Minca. Even when it rained it was such a relaxing place to look out over the trees with so many birds species flying around. Showers are nice and hot. Wifi is great. Nothing at all to complain about.

You sleep and live in the jungle. GREAT!

Beautiful location on top of the jungle, amazing staff and great service. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to get away from the noise and looking for a piece of mind.

Perfect in every way. The food is amazing and the view is breathtaking

We were not able to spend the night because our flight was cancelled but they let us store our bags (for free!) anyway during the day. They also gave us coffee and we’re so nice and understanding about the flight. Highly recommend, a wonderful place with kind people. We also really liked the driver they suggested for the airport pickup, Deibis. He is great.

Absolutely everything was perfect: beautiful grounds, the pool, the nature arround, the room with fantastic views, 15 min walk from the town, extremely friendly staff, fantastic chief. Keep in mind that it is not a hotel but hostel, but I was treated like in a 5 star hotel. Well most of inhabitans were arround 20-30 years old, but I being 64 found this place really amazing.

An amazing stay at Masaya Casas Viejas and one of the highlights of my time in Minca. The location is stunning, surrounded by nature with incredible views, and the atmosphere is perfect if you’re looking to relax and connect with other travellers. The absolute highlight was the waterfall hiking tour with our guide, Christian. He was friendly, knowledgeable and made the whole experience so much fun. Visiting several beautiful waterfalls and swimming along the way made for an unforgettable day. If you’re staying at Masaya, this tour is an absolute must-do. The staff were welcoming, the facilities were great and everything exceeded my expectations. I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommended!

I highly recommend the Mundo Nuevo. It exceeded my expectations. The location is simply stunning - with views all over Minca all the way to Santa Marta and at night you can see the lights of Baranquilla. At breakfast I was surrounded by hummingbirds and I saw Tucans nearby. The whole property is well kept and has a beautiful layout. The large common area makes it very sociable and it was very easy to interact with other guests. It is also very clean - the pool got cleaned every morning and the staff constantly cleans the common areas. What I personally really appreciated was the attention to detail: All three meals get cooked completely fresh in the kitchen and you can watch the whole process - they even bake their own bread and arepas and make all the salsas themselves - in a quality I really didn’t expect from a “hostel”. The coffee is from their own beans, the “Nutella” freshly made from their own chocolate. When I asked if I could get a second slice from the lasagna - they gave me one without hesitation (all at our table asked for a second slice because it was so good). These Details (including the very friendly team from the lodge) are something much pricier hotels could learn from. All in all I could completely relax and was seriously contemplating to extend my stay.

I stayed at Refugio Minca, located in the center of Minca but slightly higher up, which kept it away from the town noise, especially on busy weekends. My room was very simple but extremely clean, with a lovely view of the mountains and comfortable beds. I felt very comfortable throughout my stay. The staff was excellent, special thanks to Carmen and Jessy for the delicious breakfasts. They made the best arepas I’ve had in Colombia in two months of traveling. There is also a warm-water pool for evening swims and comfortable hammocks to relax in.

The location is beautiful and quiet in nature. The cabanas were clean and spacious and the pools had gorgeous views of the mountains. Staff all very lovely and helpful.

The bedroom was spacious and we loved the thoughtful details eg. bedside lights as well as ambient lights around the room. A full length mirror, bedside tables - modest luxuries you often don’t get with hostels. The owners were super sweet and friendly, the shared kitchen and filtered water were useful, cute Ghibli decor around, and loved the back deck and hammock area overlooking the jungle. A/C and a fan in the room kept us comfy in the humidity. Location was great - really quiet area and a short easy walk to the main street of town. One of our favourite hostels in a while!

Staff were super helpful even before arrival. Upgraded to room with aircon as we arrived in a heatwave. Good breakfast on the balcony with humming birds was a fab experience.

The hotel was located close to the good end of town with good restaurants & cafes only minutes walk away. The facilities and breakfast were great and having air con was heavenly and essential. Although our stay was only short this hotel would have made it comfortable to stay longer.

Todo fue excelente, la atención de Jazmín. Fue muy amable. Nos regaló aguacates. Nos guió para conocer las atracciones del pueblo. Lo malo fue no haber durado mucho más tiempo. El lugar es hermoso y muy tranquilo. Nos presentó su gatito Dominó, que nos hizo una bonita compañía en las zonas comunes.

Very isolated location (in a retreat kind of way), on a beautiful river and surrounded by jungle. Ideal. Diane & Vidal we’re just superb!!!

Panaromic terrace is ideal for birdwatching and watching the sunset. Right in the middle of the nature, away from the hassle of the town. You see a bird show with toucans from the terrace if you’re lucky like us. ☺️

Amazing place, great view, great pool. Fully equipped kitchen. Nice sunsets.

Very good amenities, lots of space and a lovely pool area.
