The staff were wonderful - we had to reorganize our check-in time several times, and they were really nice and helpful. They even helped us send our luggage straight to Tokyo and were very attentive about a gluten allergy one of us has. The food was a solid 10 out of 10. We had an outstanding dinner and a traditional Japanese breakfast with all the small, beautifully presented dishes.

We had a wonderful 3-night stay at the newly opened Kiyomizu Elite Terrace . The rooms are genuinely spacious for Kyoto, which was such a relief after staying in smaller city hotels—we could actually move around with our luggage . The location is fantastic, tucked away in a quiet Japanese courtyard yet within walking distance to Kiyomizu Temple and Kamo River . There is complimentary 24/7 coffee, juice, and water machines in the lobby. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
