Breakfast was outstanding, with several creative dishes and customizable options. It really exceeded our expectations, especially given the relatively small size of the hotel, and it was a highlight of each day. The rest of the property is so lovely, and they take so much care with the details - providing walking sticks for the short trek up to a lookout point, exceptional landscaping and gardening, filtered water in the rooms, a cozy game room for the rainier evenings. My partner and I spent one day going "work from home" with several video calls, and both reception and wifi were more than adequate, especially in the game room and garden spaces. Finally, staff were outstanding. There are a couple of excellent moderate hikes that depart just up the road from Casa Alamillo, and Gabriel and Hussein both shared lots of great tips for outdoor activities. Marta was very welcoming, it's clear she and her husband are personally invested in running an exceptional boutique hotel. The kitchen and service staff were also fantastic.

Oasis. Beautiful garden. Art everywhere. Very unusual architecture as the dining room and living room had cathedral high ceilings. Wonderful staff. Sometimes things were in Zen mexico time. Superb breakfast. They always had water bottles for you. Great clean pool. Very safe also at night. Great restaurants in Malinalco. Our favorites were Los Placeres and la Valentina. Much as gracias.

Breakfast was modest but it was delicious: scrambled eggs, coffee, papaya, bread, butter and marmalade. There is a nice patio with trees and some hammocks. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I went to a Conference at the Technological University Bolivar and the accommodation was only a 5-7 minute walk. There are some shops, restaurants, pharmacies and coffee shops around. Walking to the center of Cartagena is about 20 minutes, and it is very enjoyable and safe. The aircon worked great!
