Landhuis Hotel de Hilkensberg was absolutely excellent—one of the highlights of our trip. The estate is stunningly green and peaceful, with a natural swimming pool and charming animal residents, including a super-friendly chicken, and hungry alpacas you can feed. The breakfast was amazing, and the evening snacks were just as impressive. The food overall was fantastic, and the atmosphere incredibly relaxing. The team was welcoming and very accommodating. A beautiful, restful escape—wish we could’ve stayed longer!

The room was spacious. The spa was ok, but I really expected more from it. The best part were the outdoor warm pools, followed by the aroma-therapy saunas. The bathrooms were clean - that was indeed great. The restaurant in the spa and the restaurant in the hotel (for dinner, a la carte) were also good.

Great location for breaking a longer trip - just off motorway, but peaceful surroundings. It was cold on our outward leg and the heating kept us warm and it was 30 degrees C on the return leg but the cooling was excellent (and we could have used the swimming pool). Parking right outside front door. Nice un-overlooked patio area; comfortable furniture and bed and fully equipped kitchen area
