Had a nice time at the Hotel, the owner really cares about his guests. Since I was hiking and got a little of the track to get to the hotel he even drove me to the next crossing were I could continue to walk the Rota Vincentina. The hotel has a separated building block with guest apartments on the ground floor. Absolutely recommend the place. If I will get back into the region I will for sure spend a few nights there again.

Superlatives fall short when trying to describe our four-night stay at Colonial Farmhouse in Lugar Minas da Caveira, near Grândola. From the very first moment, we felt more than welcome thanks to the wonderful hosts: Carlos, Phillip and Xuân. We were truly pampered. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful every morning, and the dinners were simply outstanding – Xuân is an exceptionally talented chef. Every meal was a delight. Our lunch at the tavern A Venda, run by Phillip’s wife, was also a very pleasant surprise – we had a fantastic meal there. The rooms are spacious, stylish and incredibly comfortable. The beds and bedding deserve a special mention: we rarely sleep this well, surrounded by such luxury. The estate radiates peace and tranquility; it’s a true oasis where you can completely unwind. The colonial main house is beautiful and atmospheric, especially during dinner by the fireplace. But what truly made our stay special were the conversations with the hosts Carlos, Philip and Xuân. Their life stories and worldwide experiences left a lasting impression and created a warm, personal atmosphere. Carlos spoke with great pride about his garden and grounds, filled with tropical trees and plants. The absolute highlight was visiting the Buddhist temple that Carlos and Xuân built themselves – a magical and unexpected place on the estate. Many thanks for this unforgettable time. We have rarely felt so welcome and truly hope to return someday.

The property is good and has a good leisure space. The pool is large and has many games throughout the space. There are small animals around the place and the garden is very beautiful and well maintained.It is excellent for children. The breakfast was excellent. It has a parking area. And with a car we can explore the area calmly.

We loved the location, tranquility and hospitality of this place. Perfect for families as it has spacious villas and wonderful outdoors to spend time in. The staff was very nice, and breakfast super delicious.
