Our stay at Hotel Rural da Quinta do Silval was a truly memorable experience. Without a doubt, its greatest asset is the location—the view of the Douro Valley vineyards from our room is something everyone should experience when visiting Portugal. The hotel owners were incredibly welcoming, and the food was outstanding. Before our arrival, Mr. Rui contacted us with the dinner menu and offered us the opportunity to reserve a table for that evening, which we gladly did. The dinner exceeded our expectations and was absolutely delicious. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an authentic and relaxing stay in the Douro Valley.

A stunning location with beautiful views all around! The property is immaculately maintained, lovely tall cypress trees line the outdoor areas with views of the vineyards & river beyond. Very comfortable rooms, wonderful interiors. Many options for sitting outdoors, including a pool. The restaurant offers delicious breakfast and dinner, excellent service! We tried many of the wines both from Quinta Nova as well as the Dao winery - superb 👌

View from the pool terrace was amazing. Tania and the team were lovely and helpful. Extras like cookies and port on arrival. Even great to have a copy rug over the tiled floor for tired feet. Sorted a park on the street outside no trouble but it was March! Super quick walk to Pinhao. Overall just a great place to stay.

Fantastic setting only minutes walk to historic center of town and shops, bars, restaurants. The pool was inaugurated only months ago and it was heavenly to sit by the patio and swim, wine/dine and enjoy the Duero views. The hosts were lovely, responsive and always ready to guide you on anything. They were incredible and prepare a lovely home-style breakfast. Thank you, obrigado and merci!!!

Perfect location. Isolated from the touristy places right outside. It was an oasis. I can not imagine staying anywhere else in Pinhao. It made the entire experience special.

Our host was welcoming, attentive and was very helpful suggesting things to do and see in town. The view from our room was delightful, the breakfast and breakfast staff were great and the hotel itself was lovely and relaxing to be around.

The whole experience exceeded expectations. We visited with extended family at Christmas. The villa is gorgeous and the views are spectacular. Heaps of space, fabulous games room, fireplaces, well equipped kitchen. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. We didn't want to leave. Highly recommended.

We loved the location among the vines right on the river but with an easy walk to town. The house is a beautiful comfortable home away from home and we especially enjoyed the variety of outdoor living areas. Dined outdoors every night. Would love to have stayed longer. Francisco is an outstanding host who gave us excellent recommendations.

Vi var ett sällskap på åtta vuxna som hyrde detta fantastiska hus ovanför Pinhao, och vi blev helt tagna av den otroliga utsikten över dalen och floden. Huset kändes helt nybyggt och håller en mycket hög standard med moderna, stilrena materialval genomgående. **Höjdpunkter:** * **Värdskap:** Vår värd Tania var mycket vänlig, hjälpsam och välkomnande. * **Boende:** Fyra rymliga sovrum, där varje sovrum har ett eget badrum (plus ett femte badrum i anslutning till vardagsrummet). * **Faciliteter:** Huset är utrustat med allt man kan behöva. Köket är fullt utrustat med all tänkbar köksutrustning, glas och bestick för ett stort sällskap. Det finns möjlighet att få hjälp med tvätt, och utöver det finns även ett gym och en bastu att nyttja. * **Utomhusmiljö:** En underbar uteplats med pool och en vy som är svårslagen. **Bra att veta:** Den sista biten upp till huset är stenlagd och mycket brant. Det går att köra bil eller cykla, men det kräver lite vana. Det finns ingen egen tvättmaskin för gäster, även om det finns tvättservice att tillgå. Huset är inte anpassat för barn i lägre åldrar då det finns branta partier och avsatser utan räcken (både vid poolområdet och fönsterpartier). Ett fantastiskt boende för det vuxna sällskapet som söker lyx och en enastående miljö!
