Sweetest hosts and idyllic setting

Amazing location and the staff is super friendly, the food is also amazing.

If I could give 11/10 I would! A truly spectacular place, we stayed just 2 nights but it felt like a whole holiday, such a full and relaxing experience. A wonderful welcome and highly personalised service throughout. Excellent facilities: room, pool, gardens all really well built and maintained. Great breakfast! Interesting things to visit in the area: boat and kayak trips, walks.

The friendly staff, jolly dog and snuggly cat. Wide, open spaces - and a lovely glass of wine, and breathtaking view to finish the day - including warming fire place!

Owners kindness, the house is beautifully done and full of details, such as the house logo displayed in several places. The owner offered us some vegetables from her farm and lemons as well in the end. They have an information book where we could find all types of info, from restaurants to places to visit... On the outside, a swimming pool and a really nice place to have a table to eat and play foosball.

All bedrooms were suites, with plenty of high-quality towels. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed to cook. The pool was excellent, and there were great services and facilities nearby. There was also a small pool next to the main one, perfect for kids.

Magnificent view, friendly and very helpful host, spacious and comfortable. Close to everything you need.

Absolutely beautiful, comfortable, with a lot of space in the garden to explore. The facility had everything we needed, also the staff was very attentive and nice. The breakfast was also amazing with a lot of options (not a buffet, but more than enough). Amazing to spend the weekend and relax.

The property in in a beautiful setting - with birds and wildlife all around. The property has 2 areas to sit out -so you have the sun or shade all day. The views were even better than imagined. The kayaks are very good quality and life jackets are provided. We used them to kayak up to the local Bitetos bar for lunch, where there is also a river beach for swimming.

The house is very comfortable, clean, well-equipped, and all the other features of common interest. What differentiates it are the architectural details in the house and the outdoor style, all with a great view over the Douro River. The house has a very modern-chic style, mixing white, natural pine and lighting details. Has embedded blackouts, which are functional and stylish. The patios had plenty benches, tables, chairs, umbrellas and shades that create unique lounges, very Mediterranean style. The setting is amazing, regardless if you’re in the room, patios or by the pool. It feels very private and is perfect to just disconnect and relax. The location is perfect, but would say only accessible by car. The owner was very nice and thoughtful. One of the best houses we’ve stayed. 100% recommend.

The view is absolutely fantastic. The way you see it in the pictures is the way you get it. The pool is quite warm, yet refreshing. The terrace is very good to sit in the shade, once the sun is too hot. Beautiful place.

Nice hosts and a beautiful valley with a nice view from the house

Great house with beautiful views over the Douro river. The house was spacious and clean with a fantastic outside BBQ/pool/garden area overlooking the river. The house can fit 4 couples or 2-3 families. We had nice weather and spent much time outside in the garden, making BBQs, enjoying the views and playing table football/pool. We really appreciated finding some welcome drinks and snacks in the house already which was a nice surprise. There was a lot of practical things already present, including candles, charcoal for the BBQ and kitchen cleaning items that made it easy to enjoy the house as soon as we arrived. There is a little river beach just 5 minutes down the road which the kids liked. The 2rios restaurant on that beach had a great Francesinha that we recommend trying. Supermarkets are ~ 5 min drive.
