My wife and I recently had the pleasure of spending two unforgettable nights at Filao Beach Resort. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and professionalism by the incredible staff. One of the highlights of our stay was the special private dinner they prepared for us. It was a truly exquisite culinary experience, and the attention to detail was remarkable. The ambiance was heightened with a beautifully decorated room, adorned with candles, which created a romantic atmosphere that we will cherish forever. What truly stood out during our stay was the friendliness and attentiveness of the staff. They went above and beyond to ensure that every moment of our visit was perfect. Their genuine smiles and willingness to assist with any request made us feel like cherished guests. Filao Beach Resort is a hidden gem that we fell in love with. The tranquil surroundings, pristine beach, and the overall serenity of the resort provided the perfect backdrop for a relaxing getaway. We cannot recommend this place enough. Our heartfelt thanks to the entire team at Filao Beach Resort for making our stay truly magical. The stay was great, we had a great time with the house all to ourselves, place is beautiful, we loved it. We loved the neighbourhood, as we did find some places to buy amenities as well as party the night away(Friday). 30 minutes from the house if one is up to it. There are also some nearby local shops. And yes the staff were friendly too.

Spectacular resort, stunning views and well equipped beach villa with private pool. It was a really good choice and I am happy I have selected to stay in the resort without any previous recommendations. The resort hasnt fully finished yet but this hasnt impacted our stay at all. Everything was up to perfectness. The food is amazing 5* at Mama Africa restuarant where they host different events daily on dinners with beautifully served and delicious dishes, different options and out of the menu orders can be requested to be prepared by the Chef. Special thanks to the whole team running the restaurant from the Chef to Leo F&B manager, Roman and Sam and all the others that we met and didnt catch their names. Beautiful vibes amzing background local music played delicious recipes and everything just fresh from the sea or their homemade gardens.... We had 5 night stay and honestly haven't got bored to even think of leaving the resort. Anja, Radka and Emmanuel thanks for all the support and quick reposnse in resloving things and providing all the necessity when required. Special thanks aswell to Emmanuel for supporting in all the personal needs when requested helping to rent a vehicle and issuing driving permit etc... So dont worry on anything if planning to travel to Zanzibar and stay at Ycona resort, you will be sorted out with all you need. I would definitely rate it 5+ star and would be my permenant choice selection for all planned future revisits to Zanzibar. Great team, ambiance , views, accommodation. Thanks for the lovely stay and built memory.

Great food in the restaurant, very nice staff who helped us with everything. We obtained upgrade of the rooms, big apartments with own pool at the terrace, we really enjoyed our stay. Breakfasts were also really tasty and we enjoyed all kinds of milkshakes and smoothies lying near the beach and enjoying sun. The surrounding is very calm, it is not a touristy place, small willage nearby, Thank you Kikoi 😊 we recommend to everyone coming to Zanzibar.
