We absolutely loved the staff and the very warm welcome!! The accommodations were excellent. The food was phenomenal, and the chef even prepared delicious vegetarian food for half of our family! The airport pick-up staff was friendly and starting showing us animals as we drove from the airport to our lodging. The view of the river from our private patio was just gorgeous, and we witnessed a family of elephants coming down to the river upon arrival. The evening drive and the morning drive were perfect and we were able to see the Big 5… actually only 4 ( didn’t see a rhino) but we all learned so much! We enjoyed every moment and appreciated the parka jackets ( a very cold morning!) and mountain top break with snacks with the morning game drive. FYI: the morning and evening game drives are included with your stay. Highly recommend Leopard Sands for an amazing Kruger Park experience of a lifetime!

The stay felt very personal, intimate, and respectful of nature. Especially the Safari trips. Charlie and Kathy were absolutely amazing. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. You can tell they are passionate about their jobs. We went on other safari trips after that and they do not compare to our experience in Umkumbe Bush Lodge with Charlie and Kathy. It was always clean. The food was delicious!!! I don't remember the chef's name, but the one on duty April 19-21 is very talented!!
