I loved just sitting on my deck of my glamping tent and listen to the wind in the trees and the birds. Tents were very comfortable, good bed, beautiful bathroom and I woke up on a cold morning where I made a fire and took a warm bath, a relaxing place to be. Staff is very kind. There’s one gamedrive per day included where nature is beautiful, there are no elephants but this means beautiful trees. You can book a drive to see rock art of earlier people. Food is very good, creative with great combinations of tastes and spices. We were sad to leave.

Great, clean and quiet place to relax on site with swimming pools, games, putt putt and other amenities. Also well located to do hiking in Royal Natal NP, just 30 km away. We would definitely recommend this ATKV location!

The view is stunning. It beats all the resorts in the area including the fancier ones. I've stayed at the cavern and Alpine heath before and I liked this one better because of the stunning view of the mountain and the river. Nothing beats that

Montusi Lodge will always be among the most special places we have ever visited. The grounds are gorgeous and location stunning - remote, with birdsong, epic views towards the Drakensberg amphitheatre and spectacular skies. The food is superb with a daily changing menu and we looked forward to 4 course dinners each evening (and the wine list!). We stayed 5 nights and hiked every day. Before we got there, Dumisani was super helpful with pre-organising transfers to the Royal Natal National Park (about 25km) which has fabulous hiking. Shorter self-guided trails can also be done on the Montusi estate, right from the lodge. A really impressive operation for such a remote location and hosts Lindsey & Mick and their lovely team are to be congratulated. Thanks for making us so welcome and accommodating our thirst for the great outdoors!

Ambiente muito bonito e autêntico. Área aberta com gramado bastante tranquila e agradável. Comidas muito boas, especialmente o ravioli. As camas eram confortáveis no dormitório. O local parece mais apropriado para ir no verão e curtir a piscina.

Beautiful location and resort with lots of amenities for adults and kids. We enjoyed the flexibility to prepare some of our own meals, but to also enjoy meals at the restaurant. The food and service were really good.
