IT is a very nice split-level apartment and bigger than the pictures. The view is amazing and so so quiet. The hist was very friendly and we had an excellent time. The historic Grand Hôtel Des Bains is a prestigious architectural complex located in a magnificent tree-lined park. Arrived with my daughter & her husband 2 rooms on ground floor direct from room to access outdoor terrace with small table & two chairs Hôtel has an indoor corridor directly to the thermal baths & spas. Hotel guest have own Private thermal mineral outdoor pool. Non public. Option of Breakfast included in room price was a plus. Breakfast dining room has magnificent triangular views of the gardens. Unlimited food choices to choose from too long a list to describe the abundance of buffet breakfast spreads. Staff reception and room service personnel are very helpful & willing to help with all your questions .

Offering a restaurant and a seasonal outdoor pool, Hotel Lacotel is located outside of Avenches, 300 metres from the Lake of Morat and a 7-minute drive from the Amphitheatre. I stayed there a couple of nights for some extra holiday to ride my MTB after a business trip in Switzerland. The room was very spacious well equipped incl. desk, fridge, large double bed, fan and balcony. On the balcony there was a small table and two chairs, excellent to enjoy the sunset. The bed and pillows are very comfortable, I slept extremely well. The bathroom was not very large, but very clean and all amenities on could need is there. Good bonus is that there was a shower cap, shoe polish, basic sewing kit and shower and shampoo present. The hotel is very well located to go anywhere in the neighbourhood. Plenty of parking space for residents and restaurant visits. Very convenient that there is a restaurant nearby, lovely meat and pizza. Last but not least, their staff is very friendly and helpful. Big bonus for this. I had my bike with me and the hotel/camping has a dedicated bike storage room where they can be safely stored. They have good bike placing stands to put your frond wheel in without damaging the wheel nor any other bike. Again big bonus! The only reason I did not give a 10 star rating is that I might be missing an airco. The room had plenty of sun coming in and it can be warm in the room. However at night, the temperature dropped enough and with blowing some cold air in the room, I had no problem sleeping at night as the room was cooled down.
