Great view from the balcony of our room! Property has a western view and we were gifted two amazing sunsets over the lake, one from the secret lakeside sauna. Wonderful spa! and a close walk to the train up to the top of Mt Rigi. Nice restaurant for dinner and amazing breakfast included.

The family-run Seehotel Gotthard in Weggis on the shore of Lake Lucerne, 25 km from Lucerne, offers 2 restaurants, a pizzeria, a bistro and rooms with scenic views and free WiFi. We spent a week in the hotel in April. It is a beautiful property and a great base for walks to Hertenstein, Vitznau and to the cable car to mount Rigi. The hotel is near the ferry dock which provides an easy way to reach the many small pretty towns on the Lake Lucerne. The hotel staff is very pleasant and helpful, the breakfast buffet is simply delicious! It is a very good opportunity to sample local breads, cheeses and cold meat cuts, and the hostess will also cook eggs to your liking. Our room with the lake view was so pretty! Highly recommend the hotel.

Hotel Baslertor se nachází v centru města Lucern. Jen 700 metrů odtud je Lucern nádraží a 1,3 km daleko se nachází Lucernský lev. The room was nice and big, beds were comfortable. Very clean which is incredibly important to me. The pool was a treat and a great way to relax after a long day of exploring. The staff is so friendly. The location is great, close to everything.
